I don't think it will be William's now

Should have closed that one out and it could have been his to keep.

Now is finding a fit with Mayfield as the head coach and OC. As well as who the coach would bring in for the DC. Playing a defense that fits the players the Browns have. Not to high on McCarthy as he did not have a good relationship with his QB.

Ariens but how is his health dealing with the Cleveland weather. He is a short timer.

With Alonzo Highsmith working for the Browns he will check with former Colts Coach Chuck Pagano.

Mike Munchek a great line coach who didn't get the support at the Tenn. Great teams must have a very good offensive line.

Jeff Caldwell as he coached Peyton Manning at the Colts.

Maybe they will look at Marvin Lewis.

Don't forget about bringing in Todd Bowles as the DC since he will probably get fired from the JETS.

Kitchens will get an interview per stories out there. Could they promote him and hire someone to help out with the duties not associated directly with play calling? I still like the idea of Arians as co-headcoach

Kitchens has that connection with Mayfield.

Lincoln Riley gets mentioned a lot but he is a college coach who has only coached 2 years.

If you want to look at up and coming college coaches, how about Brohm at Purdue?

Brohm enjoys college football and his young son is enjoying the college and recruiting.
Northwestern Coach Fitzgerald with the Packers being interested. But he luvs being where he is and finally getting help with facilities. He has less stress and job security. Which Brohm can bring to Purdue.

One name being mentioned now who maybe interested in the NFL is Notre Dame Coach Kelly. Who I hope the Browns do not get. He would be as good as his former QB Kiser was to the Browns.

Just read where Peyton Manning who is good friends with Haslam. He would like former Dolphin Coach Adam Gase.

Also the Browns have asked permission as well as other teams to talk to with Steeler Offensive Line Coach Mike Munchak.

Two assistant coaches from the Pats not McDaniels.

One big reason against hiring Mike McCarthy is he calls his own plays. So if keeping Kitchens that would not be a good fit.

Other teams are filling their HC vacancies early. What's taking the Browns so long. Of course, the Brownsiest thing to do would be to hire Greg Schianno. I can picture Jimmy saying, Oh Schainno is available? Get him on the phone.😥

Browns are rumored to be hiring Freddie Kitchens as head coach. If so then who will he keep on the staff and who does he bring in.

I like the Kitchens hire. Definitely didn't want a retread coach. His relationship with Mayfield is paramount, and Kitchens seems like a real "Cleveland" type guy.

I was a Williams backer, and thought he went out in a classy way.

I think the Bounty crap from Williams past in today's punish them society hurt Williams chances of being a head coach again. His son really stepped up when his dad moved up as coach. Coaches staff needs a mix of personalities but they also can not clash to much. Williams would have been a good addition to the Bengals to add discipline to that team. Even if just as the DC. The Browns hired someone who can hire a staff now instead of the wait till the Rams lose then scrabble to get who is left.

Well I sure hope we don’t mess this thing up. We have some awfully good talent in place and all I want is a coach that will take off with what we have. For everything holy please football gods don’t put us back on a 5yr plan.

Loved the ESPN article on dysfunction of Haslam's ownership of the Browns. I've long thought that was the problem. Also learned #DP doesn't stand for Dawg Pound. :o

Browns sign Kareem Hunt. He will need to go through the NFL suspension (probably 6 games) but a hell of an addition to the offense
