Pitching ruled the day in 34 degree weather, with the Tribe (1-1) posting the 2-1 win.
Jon Edwards (W, 1-0) came out of the pen to throw 2/3 of an inning to get the win. Starter Trevor Bauer, went 7 innings allowing 1 run, while striking out 9. He gave up just one hit. Brad Hand (SV 1) gave up a hit but secured the save. He also walked two. Hanley Ramirez had 2 hits and drove in a run. Pinch hitter, Greg Allen drove in the other Tribe run.
For Minnesota, Jake Odorizzi went the first six, allowing just a hit, while striking out eleven. Blake Parker (0-1) took the loss. Nelson Cruz
drove in the Twins run.
