The true spark plug for the Big Red Machine has passed away. The Hall of Famer was 78. Time marches on for the boys of summer.

What a baseball player! Only 5'7" and that flapping left arm to remind him not to dip that shoulder.

We had Charley Hustle....Bench was the power plant...Perez just got clutch hit after clutch hit......Joe Morgan supplied everything else.

RIP to one of the best second baseman ever!!!

Best all around player ever for his size to play the game of baseball. Dynamite in a small package that batted left and threw right handed. I also loved his batting style. The left arm pumping up ready to blast the ball. Baseball lost a legend jewel. RIP Joe.

Sad day for the RedLeg Family. I didn’t get to grow up watching the Big Red Machine. But I watched every tape and knew all there was To know. He was special. Made watching the reds when I was 9 in 1990 win it all that much special having to learn the history prior to seeing us win it.

I read the other day that Joe Morgan career spanned over five Major League teams, I know that he came from Houston to the Reds, plus he ended up with San Francisco and Oakland. Without doing a little research, does anyone know who the fifth team could have been ?
