Playing in the next to last weekend of the regular season, the Buckeyes picked up two key victories over a decent Michigan State team in East Lansing. On Friday, OSU picked up a 1-0 shutout victory, and then on Saturday evening, the Buckeyes won by a final score of 4-2.

Next up, Ohio State will wrap up their regular season next weekend when they host two games against Wisconsin.

The Buckeyes really need to win both of these final 2 games of the season, mainly to protect there projected seeding for assuring themselves a good NCAA seed witch will be coming up very soon.

It was a disappointing weekend for the Buckeyes to wrap up the regular season, as they fell to Wisconsin 3-2 on Friday, and then tied the Badgers 3-3 on Saturday, but ultimately posted a 3x3 loss.

It's not all bad, as Ohio State will have their chance at revenge when they play Wisconsin in the Quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament next weekend in a best of 3 series, in which all games will be in Columbus.

After struggling with Wisconsin in the regular season, especially in their final series of the regular season, the Buckeyes wasted no time coming out and stomping Wisconsin 9-1 on Friday night, in their first game in the best-of-3 series in the 1st round of the B1G Tournament. Carson Meyer led the way for OSU with 4 goals, and Quinn Preston tallied 2 goals. Scoring the only goal for the Badgers was Wyatt Kalynuk.

Ohio State and Wisconsin will play again on Saturday in Columbus. If OSU wins, they'll advance to the next round. If the Badgers win, the two teams will play a winner take all game 3 on Sunday.

Revenge is sweet, especially in the postseason, as the Buckeyes downed Wisconsin for a second time, this time it was 2-1 in OT. With that win, OSU was able to advance past the Badgers to move onto the Semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament, next Sunday, when they host Michigan at Nationwide Arena.
