It's time for March Madness! The D1 men's basketball bracket has been released, and it looks like it will be a dandy. The tournament will begin on Tuesday and Wednesday with the First Four in Dayton. And, the First Round will be March 15 and 16 and regional sites. The championship will be April 1 in San Antonio.

Teams from Ohio include:

Wright State
Cincinnati
Xavier
Ohio State

For the second time in program history, Kentucky claimed the national title in Rifle. Their only other championship in program history came back in 2011. The Wildcats used a season best three-point score to claim the title over 5-time defending champion West Virginia.

Denver has claimed their 24th national title in program history in Skiing this weekend. The top 5 teams were as follows: Denver, Colorado, Dartmouth, Utah and Vermont. This was Denver's first title since 2016. They eclipsed Colorado by 40 points to claim the title.

Florida claimed their 4th title in program history in indoor men's track, claiming the title with 40 points to outlast runner-up USC with 37 team points. In what was considered to be one of the best championships in history, two world records were set at the meet. Michael Norman of USC clocked in at a blazing 44.52 in the 400m to break the world indoor record. Texas A&M's 4x400m relay team also claimed a new world indoor record, crossing the line at 3:01.39.

Georgia completed the All-SEC sweep of national champions in indoor track, claiming the women's title with 61 points, followed by Arkansas with 49. For the Bulldogs, it was their first indoor title in program history.

In D2 indoor men's track, Pittsburg State claimed the first title in program history, edging out 2-time defending champion Tiffin by one point, as they failed to score in the final event of the night. Pittsburg State scored 49, followed by Tiffin with 48.

West Texas A&M claimed the D2 women's title in indoor track, for the first time in program history. Scoring 53 points followed by Western State who scored 40 points.

For the first time in program history, Mount Union claimed the indoor track championship on the men's side. The Purple Raiders scored 41 points to edge out the most dominant program in D3 history, in North Central (Ill), who scored 40 points.

On the women's side of track, UMass Boston claimed their 5th title in program history, yet it was their first in 31 years. They scored 46 points to claim the title, to finish ahead of runner-up Williams who scored 37 points.

For the third time in the last 4 years, St. Cloud State has claimed the national title in D2 wrestling. They edged out last year's champion Notre Dame (Ohio) by a final score of 91-5 to 84. For St. Cloud State this was their 3 title in program history, all coming in the last 4 years.

Wartburg claimed their 3rd national title in a row, and 14th overall in D3 wrestling. Wartburg claimed 136.5 points in a route of the championship, defeating runner-up Augsburg by 54.5 points.

The D1 women's basketball brackets have been revealed. Tournament games will begin on March 16th, with first round action going through the 17th. The championship game and final four will be March 30-April 1, hosted locally in Columbus. The #1 seeds are as follows: UConn, Mississippi State, Notre Dame and Louisville. From Ohio, Dayton and Ohio State made the tournament field.

The championship field for fencing has been announced. The championship will be held at the Multi-Sport Facility in University Park, Pennsylvania, hosted by Penn State March 22-25. Numerous qualifiers from Ohio State made the field, 2 from each of the following disciplines:

The bracket for the D1 men's ice hockey championships has been announced. 4 teams are placed into one of four different regionals, for a total of 16 teams. The four different regionals are in Sioux Falls, Worcester, Allentown and Bridgeport. Ohio State did receive the #1 seed in the Allentown regional. First round play will be March 23-24, Quarterfinals on the 24-25, Semifinals on April 5, and Championship on April 7 in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center.

For the first time in program history, Nebraska Wesleyan has claimed the D3 men's basketball national championship. They defeated Wisconsin-OshKosh 78-72 in the title game on Saturday. Their tournament run included:

vs. Wisconsin Platteville - W 79-78
vs. Whitman - W 130-97
vs. Springfield - W 90-78

For the second consecutive season in D3 women's basketball, Amherst won the national title, not only that, but for the second straight year, they did it by completing an undefeated season. They did it by defeating Bowdoin 65-45. Overall for Amherst, this was their third national title. Their title run included:

vs. St. Joseph - W 53-47
vs. Montclair State - W 51-40
vs. Rochester - W 62-38
vs. Thomas Moore - W 66-48
vs. Bowdoin - W 65-45

In D1 women's ice hockey, Clarkson has claimed their second consecutive national title. They did it this year in OT on a game winner against #3 Colgate. This was the third overall title in program history for Clarkson. Their tournament run was:

vs. Mercyhurst - W 2-1
vs. Ohio State - W 1-0
vs. Colgate - W 2-1

Norwich has claimed their second national title in program history in D3 women's ice hockey, their first since 2011. They defeated Elmira 2-1 in the title match. Their run through the tournament was as follows:

vs. Morrisville State - W 8-2
vs. Hamline - W 5-1
vs. Elmira - W 2-1

Queens has claimed their 4th consecutive national title in D2 men's swimming and diving by dismantling the rest of the field, scoring 558 team points, which was 251 points ahead of runner-up California Baptist who earned 307 points. All four of their national titles have come in the last four years for Queens, with none of the competitions being remotely close.
