Notre Dame

Post by noreply66 »

Kelly is in his seventh year at ND making him the longest tenured head coach at ND since Lou. Don't see ND bring a big winner in a bowl game until the defense can get better. 3 starters on the offense and 5 on the defense. With their schedule and talent they could get to 10 wins. Their top recruits look to be out of Ohio.Tommy Kraemer, OT from Cincinnati and Liam Eichenberg, OT from Cleveland . Kicking game is in good hands.

Ah, Notre Dame. The Golden Dome. Ghosts of football heroes past. A hallowed stadium and an alumni/booster network that makes even TOSU envious. All combine to keep ND relevant in recruiting and also on the playing field. I agree with Noreply66 about their defense, but if they can get to 11 wins with their schedule they can make the CFP. Also their schedule is favorable, much like Clemson's last year, in that toughest opponents except one (SoCal) are at home:

2016
Sept. 3 at Texas
Sept. 10 NEVADA
Sept. 17 MICHIGAN STATE
Sept. 24 DUKE
Oct. 1 at Syracuse (MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J.)
Oct. 8 at North Carolina State
Oct. 15 STANFORD
Oct. 29 MIAMI
Nov. 5 vs. Navy (site TBD)
Nov. 12 * Army at San Antonio, Texas
Nov. 19 VIRGINIA TECH
Nov. 26 at USC
