The SEC...East & West

Post by noreply66 »

Will Alabama drop a game early and come back again this year or will the team with eleven starters back fall late and miss the big game? The Tide starts with USC a team that probably could play with Bama. Tennessee should be much better and could this be the year LSU stops the streak? Top two recruits are from in state..Ben Davis LB Gordo, Alabama and Lynbell Wilson LB from Montgomery. Next top 8 recruits are from out of the state. Bama lost a lot of fumbles last year something they will not get away with this spring with the SEC being stronger.

Tennessee

Tennessee cannot use the word youth anymore. Two big bowl wins in a row over Big Ten teams have people dreaming big things in 2016. All the pieces are there for the Vols. Most teams sort of shut the Vols down in the 2nd half last year after carrying for 5.2 yards in the first half. Top two recruits are Nigel Warrior, S. Duluth, Ga. and Jarrett Guarantano, QB from Lodi, NJ. Fifteen starters will return..8 of & 7d.

SEC....The BEAST
Fla...Still is talented on D...One of their QBs has to step up...Coach did not have them motivated late in the year
Tenn...Potential playoff team
Ga....Rid themselves of the ultimate energy vampire...Smart will inject some enthusiasm
Vandy...Will play pretty good D and be well coached
Ky.....Trying to reach the next level...Cant put a whole yr together
Mo.....Long way to go
SC....Longer way to go

The BEST
Bama.....Who knows?....The premier team in America...Who plays QB?...Off field issues
Ole Miss...Top 5 QB if healthy...Loads of talent
Ark....Great Coach who will at some time take the next step forward
LSU....Great talent with the nations worse Coach...Like Tressel....A cartoon character...A charicature...a facade...Powers just postponed the inevitable.... Great RB in LF
AM.....Great athletes....Sumlins last year thank God!!
MSU....Will be outstanding on both sides of the ball up front as usual....Who plays QB?
Aub.....Gus on the Hot Seat....He has to have the right kid playing the most important position

The SEC is not on paper as strong as usual. But still the Preimminant football Conference in America

Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia should compete for the mediocre SEC East..if the pieces come together.Top two recruit are Jacob Eason,QB from Lake Stevens. Wa. and Isaac Nauta, TE from Buford, Ga. The Bulldogs lost to the Big three Florida, Tennessee and Alabama. Eight will return for the offense and five on defense. Just about all of the Line and LB have left.

Florida

With six wins in the first six games the Gators made it into the top ten for the first time in three years. Ending the season with three straight losses exposed Florida's offense. Florida needs to develop a long-term answer to QB. Top two recruits are Antonneous, DE, Vienna, Ga. and Tyrie Cleveland, WR, from Houston TX. Five starters return on both sides of the ball so playing Massachusetts, Kentucky and North Texas should get them ready for Sept. 12 against Tennessee.

Kentucky

The Wildcats looked to be on their way to a good season when they had a run of five straight losses and their bowl game was gone. Offense still looks strong this year but the defense lost almost everyone. Kentucky's running game last year seemed to be a big gainer or a stop behind the line. Wildcats had 24 running place that went for 20 plus yards but also 24% of the running plays were stopped at or behind the line. Top two recruit are Landon Young,OL, Lexington, Ky. and Drake Jackson,C, from Versailles, Ky. A lot of Wildcat fans are wondering why Boom Williams doesn't get more carries.

Vanderbilt

The Commodores went from 3/9-0/8 in 2014 to 4/8-2/6 in 2015. Vandy hopes to return to a bowl game this season for the first time since 2013. Offense will struggle this year with only five starters coming back. Defense will return seven. Top two recruits are Joejuan Williams, CB, Hendersonville,TN and Sean Auwae, C, Kapolei, HI. Vandy gave up 31 points in only two games last year after doing so six times in 2014.

Missouri

The Tigers had a lot of trouble last year. The offense bottomed out and they had a brief boycott. Nothing will matter in Mizzou if the offense doesn't show up. The QB returns with four other starters and the defense will have eight back. Top two recruits are Nate Strong, RB, east St. Louis, ILL. and Brendan Scales, TE, Wildwood, MO. The defense ranked 2nd in FBS.

South Carolina

The Gamecocks will need to remake the roster. A true freshman might start at QB along with WRs. Defense will need to rebuild with only five starters back. Offense is no better with three starters back. Top two recruits are Brandon Mcllwain,QB,Newtown, PA. and Bryan Edwards, WR, Conway, SC.

The Cocks on paper win only two games: Western Carolina and UMass. However USCe faithful are thinking Muschamp have the talent to also get by Vandy, ECU, UK, and Mizzou. That hope rests on Jake Bentley, who was a high school junior last season. 6'4 with a big arm. Of course it does not hurt that his dad is running back coach for the Gamecocks.

LSU

LSU will return 18 starters from a team that was # 2 at one time last year. The Tiger were 7 and 0 going into the Bama game and came out on the short of it 16/30. After that they ran their losing streak to 3 falling to Arkansas and Ole Miss and the games didn't seem close. Their defense seemed to let them down in 2015. Brandon Harris (QB) will need to do better in the passing game. Top two recruits Kristian Fulton,CB,Metairie,LA and Rashard lawrence, DT, Monore, LA. The Tigers will start out with Wisconsin Sept. 3rd.

Ole Miss

The Rebels had two wins over Alabama and Oklahoma State last season. Ole Miss has the talent to compete with the bigger boys but the new offensive linemen will need to learn quick. Chad Kelly will have five receivers coming back to throw to. The defense lost a lot but what is coming back is talented. Top two recruits are Greg Little, OT, Allen, TX and Shea Patterson, QB, Shreveport, LA. 2016 might just depend on the teams depth where they are hurting.

Noreply has been doing some reading :) I am impressed. If you dont watch out you could convince some on here you really know what you are talking about   ....By the way.....Ole Miss is a biggie. 2 consecutive wins over THE BIG BOY clinches that fact. Its just that they have to go through the Gauntlet every year. They would be a threat to win the BIG 14 each and every year.

Arkansas

The Razorbacks seemed to play close games last year. Tennessee, Auburn and Ole Miss were close wins ..lost close ones to Toledo, Mississippi State and Texas A & M. Could have been 11 and 2 easily. Arkansas has a new QB this year. Offense lost a lot last year. Will need to find linemen and receivers and backs. The defense will have to carry the offense for a while. Defense will need to replace a DE and SS. Top two recruits are McTelvin Agin=m, OL, Texarkana,AR. and Devwah Whaley, RB, Beaumony,TX

Texas A & M

A&M took a dive last year when the offense went south. One of the two QBs will have to step up this season or it might be a long one. Defense will carry this team at first. Only six starters, but they are talented plus a very talented bench. A&M will have UCLA, Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee in the first half of their season. Last year they got inside the 40 a lot but just couldn't score much. Top two recruits are Justin Madubuike,DE, McKinley, TX and Kellan Diesch, T, Trophy Club, TX.

Auburn

The Tigers have the talent but can they put things together. Auburn will need the defense to carry them until the offense catches up. This team will have their first 5 games at home. Will open the season with national runner up Clemson. Six come back on offense and 5 on defense. Will need a new QB and running back. Defense will miss all LBers.
Top Two recruits are Derrick Brown, DT, Sugar Hill, GA. and Marlon Davidson, DE, Greenville, AL.

Mississippi

The Bulldogs should return to their seventh straight bowl game. Eleven starters will return altogether. Offense will need QB and WRers and a few linemen. Defense will miss LBers and backs. Top two recruits are Jeffery Simmons, DE, Macon, MS and Marquiss, DE, Greenwood, MS. Had nine wins last year with luck. Teams put the ball on the ground a lot but the Bulldogs didn't come up with too many.
