Big win? Not in my opinion. Special teams and the offensive line regressed in performance from prior games. The team showed lack of discipline with 85 yards in penalties and some plays bordering on thuggery. Only bright spot was the defensive line as they knew they could focus on the run game as the Terps were down to their third string QB. It is just a shame, given the athleticism the Buckeyes have, that they do not have the mental focus or toughness to be a truly great championship team.
I agree with the lack of discipline, been a problem the whole year. What plays are you talking about that were thuggery? The hit Ward made on that WR was 100% legal. Now, the play later in the game by another corner was definitely a late and unnecessary hit.
I refer to Arnette's hit and lot of borderline aggressiveness on special teams and the DB's,
away from the ball. Meyer called for his team to be more aggressive and vicious in their play, but playing out of control with needless penalties will hurt them against better opponents.

I quit watching the game in the third quarter. OSU had a big led and was running JT.

This targeting rule is ridiculous. Ward blew up the Maryland receiver with his shoulder and the hit was low. Then he gets disqualified? Please.

Bullcrap.

Exactly! If he would have wrapped his arms up like he should have they probably wouldn't have called it. I agree it was bad call but when you go flying back like that it gives the refs suspicion to throw the hanky. I just don't see how the replay review screwed it up
