I refer to Arnette's hit and lot of borderline aggressiveness on special teams and the DB's,Chieftain2009 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 8:32 pmI agree with the lack of discipline, been a problem the whole year. What plays are you talking about that were thuggery? The hit Ward made on that WR was 100% legal. Now, the play later in the game by another corner was definitely a late and unnecessary hit.Omega wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 8:17 pm OSU 62-14. State 584 total yards, Maryland 66.
Big win? Not in my opinion. Special teams and the offensive line regressed in performance from prior games. The team showed lack of discipline with 85 yards in penalties and some plays bordering on thuggery. Only bright spot was the defensive line as they knew they could focus on the run game as the Terps were down to their third string QB. It is just a shame, given the athleticism the Buckeyes have, that they do not have the mental focus or toughness to be a truly great championship team.
away from the ball. Meyer called for his team to be more aggressive and vicious in their play, but playing out of control with needless penalties will hurt them against better opponents.
