Going into Sunday's game at Rutgers, the Buckeyes main goal was to stay undefeated in Big Ten play. And, they did just that, Ohio State (15-4) cruised the whole way to an easy victory over Rutgers (11-8) by a final score of 68-46. The Buckeyes came out with a big lead at halftime, leading 28-15, and only pulling away by more in the second half to secure the victory.

Keita Bates-Diop once again led the Buckeyes and all scorers with 20 points (9 rebounds). Two other OSU players scored in double figures: Kam Williams (11 points) and Kaleb Wesson (10 points; 9 rebounds). Geo Baker led the Scarlet Knights with 14 points, followed by Corey Sanders with 13.

The next game up for the Buckeyes will be Wednesday when they travel to Northwestern.

Kind of a lackluster performance by the Bucks, but good teams win these types of games. Too many turnovers and issues handling the press. KBD had a rare off night, but Potter stepped up big time. He's finally looking healthy. Definitely a team win for the Buckeyes over a scrappy NW team.

Good win for the Buckeyes last night. For their sixth consecutive game they claimed victory and stayed undefeated in conference play. Ohio State (16-4) claimed a 71-65 victory over Northwestern (11-9). OSU was not amazing in this one, but, as mentioned, good teams win these types of games. Micah Potter led the Buckeyes with 13 points. Jae'Sean Tate and CJ Jackson both recorded 12 points. Keita Bates-Diop rounded out the double digit scoring for the Buckeyes with 10 points (7 rebounds).

Leading Northwestern was Vic Law with 14 points and Scottie Lindsey with 13 points.

The Buckeyes put their undefeated conference record on the line on Saturday when they square off against Minnesota in the College Hoops & Hockey Doubleheader at Madison Square Garden.

Doesn't Northwestern have four starters back this year?

Northwestern was picked to do well in the Big Ten this year and OSU was picked for 11th. Looks like they went the opposite of the picks.

I thought that the Buckeyes looked pretty weak against the press. Hopefully, they tighten that up.

Another conference game, another win for the Buckeyes. Ohio State (17-4) picked up a win against Minnesota (14-8) in a game at Madison Square Garden this afternoon, 67-49. In this one, the Buckeyes led at halftime by 7 and rolled on to the 18 point victory. Leading OSU in the game was Keita Bates-Diop with a double double, 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kaleb Wesson added 15 points and 8 rebounds. Rounding out the double digit scoring for the Buckeyes was CJ Jackson (11 points) and Jae'Sean Tate (10 points).

Leading the Gophers in scoring for the game was Jordan Murphy who scored 13 points.

Ohio State will get back at home after a road swing in their next game, when they host Nebraska on Monday.

Buckeyes got down 20-10 early in the first half today and after a timely TO by Coach Holtmann, the defense completely locked down the Gophers to finish off a 67-49 victory.

Really been fun to watch these Buckeyes evolve and adjust to a new coaching staff. I feel like they are a 2nd weekend team, the lack of great ballhandlers could really hurt them, but they are an extremely good half court team right now. Should win their next 4 games before they head to West Lafayette on 2/7.

No he wasn't a bad coach, he did a lot of good at Ohio State. Something happened the last few years where he was no longer effective.

I'm loving what they're doing but I want a three year sample to proclaim the program is back to the level of 10 years ago. The new coach hasn't recruited any current players yet.

True that dazed, a lot coaches win with other coaches players but can't with their own. Guess we have to wait a few years ,but enjoy the ride now I guess.

I agree with both of your guys' comments. The promising thing that I'm seeing, at least from my own opinion, is that he is winning with players that Matta couldn't win with. He did get one guy of his own this year, Musa Jallow had originally committed to Butler (where Holtmann coached at previously) and got him to come to OSU.

Young was committed to Butler and followed Holtmann to OSU. Holtmann recruited Jallow to OSU. Jallow was actually an '18 recruit, but reclassified and signed in '17.

That's right, I had the two mixed up. Wesson was the only one, I believe, that was already coming to OSU before Holtmann took the job.

Good teams find ways to win, even when they don't play their best ball, and that's what the Buckeyes did tonight, as Ohio State (18-4) defeated a scrappy Nebraska team (14-8) in a close 64-59 win. The Bucks only led by 2 at the intermission, and then increased that lead to just 5 at the final buzzer.

Yet again, Keita Bates-Diop led the Buckeyes with 20 points (6 rebounds), followed by Jae'Sean Tate with 17 points (7 rebounds), and rounding out the double digit scoring were Kaleb Wesson and CJ Jackson with 12 points a piece. James Palmer Jr had a massive 34 point game to keep the Cornhuskers within striking distance.

Next up for OSU is a home game against Penn State on Thursday.
