AND CLEMSON STRUGGLED MIGHTILY WITH A HAPLESS FSU SEMINOLE SQUAD. SO COULD BE SOME BIG SHAKE UPS AFTER BAMA RECLAIMS THE #1 SLOT.

Buckeyes right where they need to be after two disappponting losses. They are in position to finish strong and slide into the 4th playoff spot.

That be said, they have to go out and blow out Illinois from the opening kick. Put 50+ on the board while pitching a shutout or limiting them to 10 or under.

If the Buckeyes come out with that kind of passion and preparedness Illinois will wish they had stayed home.

Right now they are buried at 13 so I'm thinking anywhere from 11-9 most likely.

There are certain losses coming for some of the teams ahead of them, but about 6th is the highest OSU could reach in the final poll even with the expected chaos. Hey though, I could enjoy a NY6 bowl game against say a Auburn,Clemson, Georgia,Miami, SoCal or TCU. That would be a great finish to a roller coaster season.

Not for sure but right off I think Illinois is the only Big Ten team without a league win.

That's correct noreply, this game won't get them anywhere in the eyes of the committee. They will have to make their money up north in a couple weeks and hope Whisky don't lose this week, even then probably a long shot imo.

Bama needs to beat Auburn and then Georgia in the SEC Championship.
1. Bama in - everybody else out

Miami needs to beat Clemson in the Championship
2. Miami in - Clemson out

Oklahoma needs to win Big 12 Championship over whoever they play
3. Oklahoma in - everybody else out

That leaves the 4th spot wide open
* Wisconsin controls their own destiny. They beat Michigan and top 10 Ohio State and they are in as undefeated Big Ten Champs.
* Ohio State could slip in by winning out which means wins over Michigan and a possibly undefeated top 4 Wisconsin team.
* If Notre Dame wins out they have a slim chance with two losses but I think the Big Ten scenario is better. (There would need to be Big Ten chaos for ND to slip ahead of them).
* PAC 12 Champ with a slim chance but I don't see it at this point.

There's a lot that can happen in the SEC but I still think only one SEC team gets in.

I personally think win out , get a Bowl 6 game, hopefully against Notre Lame! But will take a rematch vs. Clemson.

So much is going to happen in the next 3 weeks. Committee poll means nothing right now. Clemson and Miami will play in 3 weeks, Georgia and Alabama/Auburn will play in 3 Weeks. TCU and U of O will play in rematch in 3 weeks. Ohio St. and Wisky will play in 3 Weeks. It all falls into place. if Ohio st does make it in, would love to see a rematch with U of O and then plant the flag right in B. Mayfield's A$$$! GO BUCKS

I'd love a rematch with boomer sooner er Clemson somehow.i'd love to topple bama again, and I always love beatin the irish. but we had our chances and ain't got anybody to blame but us. just have to throw all our marbles in the circle n see what happens.

one way er another it will be another fantastic year of buckeye football. I really thought we were poised to win another title. I just hope somehow they get the shot. we're purty spoilt as buck fans
