I know we played the number 1 defensive team in the big ten. but we left way too many points on the board. 3 turnovers against Wisconsin and still held on. I'm sick of these dang sideways passes inside our 5 yard line. 4th and 1 and in a shotgun, with an empty backfield, it's driving me batty man. it's a good thing I'm headin to church this morning, because I needs cleansed from yesterday and likely my mouth warshed out with soap. I may have to scrub the walls of the mancave here at the bat cave. my john wayne picture was even giving me the stink eye.i think I had 3 birthdays, drank a gallon of luzianne sweet tea, ate a pound of peanuts, chewed my fingernails to the knuckles, peed 8 times, had 3 bowel movements, and had a minimum of 6/7 nervous breakdowns in them 4 hours, and I may have awoken some neighbors between 8pm and midnight.

Two things:
1)Don't lose to 3 TD underdog by 31 points
2)Don't lose in previous playoff 31-0

I'm actually OK with this. I think it's better for OSU. They'd get boatraced by Clemson again. They'll win a still.pretty good bowl game. Do they play USC now?

Ohio State did not make the playoffs. Can anyone say Iowa? Honestly the Bucks dodged a bullet. Despite Urban Meyer and recruiting rankings Ohio State is not an elite team.

......but this is what you get when you limit it to 4 teams and allow humans to subjectively make decisions. It's a matter of time til it expands

This will hurt the tv ratings. All 4 teams are from the south/southeast and only one sizeable metro area.

I believe Ohio State will play USC in the Fiesta Bowl.

Last years loss to clemson was last year, shouldn’t matter. Did they weigh the fact OSU owned Alabama in 2014 - NO!
Alabama with absolutely NO signature wins.
Ya, you don’t loss to Iowa but we did, but who was playing the best ball the last 4 weeks of the season?

Clemson needs to destroy Alabama and then Oklahoma beat Clemson.
OSU destroy USC.

USC was more deserving than Bama.

Bama did NOTHING to deserve to be in.

I predicted this as soon as Ohio State lost to Iowa. There will be no Big Ten team in the playoffs and the SEC would have two teams in. I should play the lottery!!!

Yep chairman said they didn't forget the Iowa game! Goes to show championships mean nothing to the committee, second year in a row BIG champ gets left out. Bucks get the Trojans, another team that's had their number over the years. :(

Cotton Bowl versus Southern Cal. Not a bad consolation prize and a huge challenge for the Buckeyes.

I'm an old timer, too. I know they blasted them in the 73 Rose Bowl behind big Pete Johnson and John Hicks. That's off top of my head without Google

The last win was 42-21 in the 74 Rose Bowl (1973 season). Pay back is way over due.

Can't really argue with OSU not getting in. That lackluster performance against Wisky sealed the deal. The committee has, however, set the precedent that you're better off playing the weakest schedule possible. Even if you're only beating weak to mediocre teams, you can still survive a loss to a decent team and get in. I think this will force schools that are scheduling good out of conference games to rethink the way they are doing things. If OSU had beat an FCS school instead of losing to a really good Oklahoma team, the Bucks would be in the playoff.
