On top of a #3 seed in the team tournament, several individuals and doubles teams from Ohio State got the call today that they would be competing in the singles and doubles championship bracket.

In singles, Mikael Torpegaard got the #6 overall seed. JJ Wolf also qualified as a singles player. Ohio State's top doubles team also qualified, with Torpegaard and Martin Joyce.

In the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the Buckeyes rolled to victory of East Tennessee State 4-0.

They will compete in the 2nd round at noon on Saturday against #25 Kentucky.

Another dominant shutout put the Buckeyes into the 3rd round of the NCAA Tournament, as they defeated #25 Kentucky, 4-0. This was the second time they've defeated Kentucky this season, they did earlier in the season 4-2.

OSU advances to the 3rd round of the tournament to face-off against Minnesota for the third time this season, next Friday in Winston-Salem, NC. They won in the regular season 5-2, and the semifinal of the Big Ten Tournament 4-0.

In third round action of the NCAA Tournament, the Buckeyes defeated Big Ten rival Minnesota 4-1 to advance to the quarterfinals. In Sunday's quarterfinal, OSU will face off against #6 Mississippi State at noon.

The Buckeyes won a thriller in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament earlier today, defeating #6 Mississippi State 4-3. They will play in the semifinals tomorrow against #2 UCLA at 2pm.

The only other time they played UCLA this season was during indoor when they lost to the Bruins 4-1 in the indoor national tournament.

OSU breezed past #2 UCLA in today's semifinal of the NCAA Championships, to advance to tomorrow's national championship match to face-off against #1 Wake Forest at 5pm.

The Buckeyes season came to an end on Tuesday, as they fell in the national championship match to host, and #1 ranked Wake Forest 4-2.

OSU will be losing a few players after this season to graduation, Matt Mendez and Riley Reist. They will also be losing one more player, their best one, and arguably one of the top 5 in the country, Mikael Topregaard, to graduation. OSU is still playing in singles and doubles action though.

Singles play began today in the NCAA Tournament, and several Buckeyes were in action.

Mikael Topregaard advanced to tomorrow's 2nd round with a 2-6; 6-4; 6-2 opening round victory over Arizona State's Michael Geerts. He will play Paul Jubb of South Carolina tomorrow at noon.

OSU's other singles player wasn't so fortunate. He took on #14 Alfredo Perez from Florida in the 1st round, where he lost 6-4; 6-4 in straight sets to end his sophomore campaign.

Topregaard will continue singles play tomorrow, as well as begin double's play with teammate Martin Joyce, as they will face Mazen Osama and Edson Ortiz of Alabama.

Mikael Topregaard won his second round singles match against Jubb of South Carolina, 6-4; 6-3. Topregaard now moves on to the Round of 16 to go up against Brandon Holt of USC tomorrow at 10am.

Topregaard also had a big day in doubles, along with teammate Martin Joyce, they defeated Ortiz/Osama from Alabama 6-2; 7-6 in the first round of the doubles bracket. They will play in the Round of 16 tomorrow at 2:30pm against Lin/Matheson from Columbia.

Topregaard's run at the NCAA Singles Championship continues on, after he defeated Brandon Holt of USC in the Round of 16 yesterday, 7-5 and 6-3. He will play in the Quarterfinals today against #4 Petros Chrysochos from Wake Forest.

In the doubles tournament, Topregaard and advanced to the Quarterfinal after yesterday's win, defeating Lin/Matheson of Columbia 6-3 and 6-3. Today, they face-off against Kessler/Vale of Florida.

Topregaard has bowed out of the singles tournament, after a quarterfinal loss to the tournament's #4 seed, Petros Chrysochos of Wake Forest, 6-4; 2-6; 7-6.

Although he bowed out of the singles tournament, himself and teammate Martin Joyce advanced yet again in doubles play, after defeating Kessler/Vale of Florida, 6-3; 6-2 in the quarterfinal on Saturday. They will be playing in the semifinal against Rapp/Keegan of UCLA on Sunday.

Yesterday, Joyce and Topregaard had a thrilling match against Rapp/Keegan, winning the match, 6-7; 7-6; 10-8. That win advances them to the doubles national championship match facing Redlicki/Zhu of UCLA today.

It was a thrilling national championship match in double's play, but ultimately, the Buckeye duo fell to the duo of UCLA, 7-6; 6-7; 9-11.
