For the eighth time in the last 10 seasons, Ohio State earned a season opening win. This time, they traveled to Cleveland State last night and left with a 13-6 victory. John Kelly led the Buckeyes in goals with 4, followed by Tre LeClaire with 3 goals and Hank Bethke with 2. OSU led at all period breaks: 3-2; 5-4; 11-6; 13-6.

Offensively, it was another great game for the Buckeyes today, as they blew past #20 Boston, 15-9. Jackson Reid led the Buckeyes with 4 goals, followed by Tre LeClaire with 3 goals (1 assist).

OSU will be back in action next Saturday, as they host Hofstra.

For the first time this season, the Buckeyes had to make a fourth quarter comeback, and it was dramatic! OSU was trailing by 3 goals in the 4th, before a furious comeback on the road at Jacksonville. Tre LeClaire scored the game tying goal with 1.8 seconds remaining in regulation. Then, he scored the game winning goal in overtime.

Next weekend is a big one, as they travel to Detroit to play in the Midwest Lacrosse Classic, playing Marquette on Friday and Detroit-Mercy on Sunday.

In a game where the Buckeyes had to make a late comeback, they ended up winning 8-7. Trailing 6-3 in the third quarter, Ohio State went on a 5-1 run to claim victory over host Detroit Mercy to wrap up the Midwest Collegiate Classic.

Next up for OSU, they will host Towson on Saturday.

Playing on the road against one of the best year-in year-out programs in the nation, the Buckeyes fell to #6 Denver, 12-7. The third period is what did the Buckeyes in, as they led 3-2 after the first period, were tied at 5 after the second, and fell apart in the 3rd, as Denver went up 10-5. Both teams scored two goals in the 4th period.

The Buckeyes were led by JT Bugliosi who scored 2 goals.

OSU will be back at home next Sunday as they host Notre Dame.

The Marquette and Towson losses sting.

I figured the Denver game would be a challenge and the result would go either way, decided by a point or two. I'm surprised OSU lost by 5.

The schedule doesn't get any easier. Notre Dame will be tough. Then B1G play starts and it will be a real blood bath!

The Buckeyes have now dropped three straight games, and four of their last five. They hosted #4 Notre Dame earlier today and fell 9-8. After the first period, both teams seemed evenly matched as they were tied at 2, then were once again tied at 5 after the second period. Then, in the third, OSU was the only team to score as they took a 6-5 lead at the end of the period. But, the Buckeyes couldn't hold on as they were outscored 4-2.

The next game for Ohio State will be on Saturday as they host Penn State, and start Big Ten play.

Opening up their Big Ten schedule yesterday, the Buckeyes were looking to end their 3 game losing skid, but were unable to do so, as they were dominated by Penn State, 12-4. For their only 4 goals, four different Buckeyes hit the back of the net.

They will continue their Big Ten schedule this coming Saturday as they travel to Johns Hopkins.

The Buckeyes dropped their fifth consecutive game on Saturday, this time to conference foe, #6 Johns Hopkins 13-10. It was a dead even match the first two periods, as each team scored 3 in the first and 2 each in the second. The third period is when Johns Hopkins took over as they outscored OSU 5-2. The fourth period was another where each scored 3 again.

Next up is a big one, as the Buckeyes host Michigan next Saturday.

Last night, the Buckeyes finally got back into the win column for the first time in over a month. And there could have been no better way of doing, as they defeated #20 Michigan in Columbus 8-5. OSU got out to an early lead as they led 3-1 after the first period, but ultimately gave up two without scoring any in the second, as the game was tied at 3. It was never tied again after that as the Buckeyes outscored the Wolverines in the third 4-1, and each team added a goal each in the fourth.

Leading the Buckeyes yet again was Tre LeClaire with 3 goals. In the net, Josh Kirson got the win and recorded 7 saves.

Next up. they travel to Maryland next Sunday.

A thrilling game came to a conclusion in Maryland on Sunday, as the Buckeyes took down #1 ranked Maryland 12-10. In what was perhaps the biggest upset in college lacrosse this season, OSU notched a few program milestones along the way. This marked the second straight season where the Buckeyes took down the nation's top team, and the first time in program history they did it on the road. For the Buckeye seniors, they set the program's all-time wins mark by a single class with 42. This big win also gave OSU head coach Nick Myers a tie for the all-time wins lead in Buckeye history at 92.

Ohio State took the lead after 1 period, leading 4-3. A solid second period gave Maryland a 6-5 lead at half. Then, the third and fourth periods played out evenly as the Buckeyes outscored the Terrapins 3-2 in each of those periods.

OSU will wrap up their regular season on Saturday as they host Rutgers.

Last night was a big one for the Buckeyes, as they edged #9 Rutgers on Senior Day, 10-7. In a game where OSU never trailed, they punched their ticket to the postseason in the Big Ten Tournament. Leading the Buckeyes in goals for the day was Jackson Reid with 3 goals, Colin Chell also chipped in 2 goals and 2 assists.

The middle of Ohio State's season was quite disappointing, but they put together a heck of a run over the last 3 games as they defeated 3 top 20 teams, and 2 of them in the top 10.

In the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, they will play Johns Hopkins on Thursday. The Big Ten is being hosted in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Weren't the Buckeyes shafted in last nights game? The officials could plainly see that the John Hopkins team crossed the line and were throwing punches in the fracus with only one of their players being ejected. Anyone else see the game?
