The Buckeyes(6-1) overcome giving up 9 base on balls and 2 more errors to defeat Louisville (6-2)this afternoon. Starter Shelby McCombs(Newark, Ohio) walked 5 in only 4 1/3 innings of work, while Morgan Ray(Frenchtown, Mt.) gave up 4 walks in 4 2/3 innings of work.

Five Buckeyes had RBI in this one Niki Carver(Gainesville, Ga),Emily Clark(Prospect, Oh),Lilli Piper(Norton, Oh),Ashley Goodwin(Riverside, Calf) and McCombs. Overall the Buckeyes had just 4 hits.

For the Cardinals three errors did not help their cause at all. They out hit the Buckeyes 7-4 and their pitchers walked just 3 batters.Caitlin Ferguson(Versailles, Ky.) had 5 hits and drove in a run.Megan Hensley(Ashland, Ky.) had 2 RBI on the day, while Sidney Melton(Columbus, Ohio)and Alison Szydlowski(Imperial, Mo.) each had a RBI.
