Re: 2018 NCAA Winter Championships
In D1 wrestling, there was essentially nobody else in the competition except Ohio State and Penn State. Well, that may not be completely true, those are the two teams it came down to, like it has nearly every year. The Buckeyes had a 6 point lead heading into Saturday final. OSU had 2 in the finals and Penn State had 5. And ironically enough, it came down to a championship match at 197 pounds that put Penn State in the lead for good, as Bo Nickal pinned Ohio State's Myles Martin to claim the win. Penn State scored 141.5 and Ohio State scored 134.5.
For the Nittany Lions, it was their 7th title in the last 8 years. The only team to claim a national title in between that time? Ohio State in 2015. This was the 8th title in program history for Penn State.

The field has been set for the bowling national championships. In the NCAA, they only compete for a national championship in women's bowling. 2. McKendree
3. Arkansas State
4. Vanderbilt
5. Sam Houston State
6. North Carolina A&T
7. St. Francis (PA)
