DI baseball is the last sport, in the college sports world, to have a championship each year. Monday night, the College World Series teams were finalized. It will begin on Saturday and end either on Tuesday (26th) or Wednesday (27th). Each bracket is made up of four teams (each of those teams won their best-of-3 super regional). There are two brackets, and both of them will play a round robin double elimination format tournament. The two teams that remain will play for the national championship in a best-of-3 series. Teams that made the CWS and how:

#3 Oregon State defeated #14 Minnesota 2-0
#6 North Carolina defeated #11 Stetson 2-0
Washington defeated Cal State Fullerton 2-1
Mississippi State defeated Vanderbilt 2-1

#5 Arkansas defeated South Carolina 2-1
#13 Texas defeated Tennessee Tech 2-1
#9 Texas Tech defeated Duke 2-1
#1 Florida defeated Auburn 2-1

The semifinals begin on Friday. The matchups are:

Mississippi State vs. #3 Oregon State @ 3pm

#5 Arkansas vs. #1 Florida @ 8pm

The double elimination is still in effect. If a team has already lost a game, that loss still counts. Each semifinal consists of a team with a loss and a team that is undefeated. If the team with a loss wins the first game, they will play a second game on Saturday, with the winner heading to the CWS Finals. If the undefeated team wins, that team heads to the CWS Finals.

Three of the four remaining teams are from the SEC.
