Oregon State defeats Washington 14-5.

Washington has been eliminated from the CWS.

Oregon State will take on the loser of North Carolina vs. Mississippi State in another elimination game on Wednesday.

Oregon State stages at late comeback to beat North Carolina 11-6. North Carolina has been eliminated from the tournament.

The semifinals begin on Friday. The matchups are:

Mississippi State vs. #3 Oregon State @ 3pm

#5 Arkansas vs. #1 Florida @ 8pm

The double elimination is still in effect. If a team has already lost a game, that loss still counts. Each semifinal consists of a team with a loss and a team that is undefeated. If the team with a loss wins the first game, they will play a second game on Saturday, with the winner heading to the CWS Finals. If the undefeated team wins, that team heads to the CWS Finals.

Three of the four remaining teams are from the SEC.

Yesterday's games:

Oregon State beats Mississippi State 12-2, to stay alive in the tournament.

Arkansas beats Florida 5-2 to knock the Gators out of the tournament, and allows the Razorbacks to advance to the CWS Finals.

Oregon State defeated Mississippi State last night, 5-2. Oregon State will move onto the CWS Final.

The CWS Final will be #5 Arkansas vs. #3 Oregon State. It will be a best-of-3 series and the schedule is as follows:

Game 1 - Monday @ 7pm
Game 2 - Tuesday @ 7pm
Game 3 - Wednesday @ 7pm (if necessary)

Oregon State comes back and takes a lead in the ninth to win game 2 of the series 5-3. It all comes down to this, one game, winner take all, tomorrow at 6:30pm.

For the third time in program history, and the first time since they won back-to-back title in 2006 and 2007, Oregon State has won the baseball College World Series. They did so tonight by shutting out Arkansas in game three, 5-0. Entering the tournament, they were the #3 overall seed, and lost only 2 games the entire tournament. Their path to the title included:

Regionals:
vs. Northwestern State - W 9-3
vs. LSU - W 14-1
vs. LSU - W 12-0

Super Regionals:
vs. Minnesota - W 8-1
vs. Minnesota - W 6-3

College World Series:
vs. North Carolina - L 8-6
vs. Washington - W 14-5
vs. North Carolina - W 11-6
vs. Mississippi State - W 12-2
vs. Mississippi State - W 5-2

College World Series Final:
vs. Arkansas - L 4-1
vs. Arkansas - W 5-3
