Needing a big win to wrap up their regular season, the Buckeyes got just that, as they defeated visiting #19 Wisconsin 2-1 on Sunday. OSU took the early lead in this one on a Marissa Birzon goal in the ninth minute of play. It didn't take Wisconsin long to answer that goal, after several chances, they finally cleared one into the box and tied the game up in the 19th minute. The Buckeyes recorded not only the final goal of the first half, but the final goal of the game off an own-goal by the Badgers in the 29th minute, giving OSU a lead that would never be given up the rest of the way.

Ohio State currently sits in 4th place in the Big Ten, and will have to wait for their conference tournament seeding, following the finishing of the regular season on Wednesday.

The third seeded Buckeyes were outed of the Big Ten tournament in the quarterfinals on Sunday to Nebraska in an instant classic. The game went completely scoreless with not many opportunities through regulation and overtime. Then, the game had to go into penalty kicks, but Nebraska prevailed, defeating the Buckeyes in penalty kicks 3-2.

Ohio State will now wait and see if they are lucky enough to get an at-large spot in the NCAA tournament.

Despite losing in the first round of the conference tournament, the Buckeyes still earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. They will play Wake Forest in the first round on Friday. The winner of that will play the winner of Radford vs. #2 West Virginia.
