More SEC Bias. Auburn barely beats Southern Miss and jump 2 spots.. but they Drop Penn State to 11th after arguably the best game of the year so far?! Sad....

Virginia Tech should not be back in the top 25.

I think they are struggling with figuring out who to put in the back end of the top 25. I don't think anyone outside the top 6 even has a chance at the playoff (even though these rankings don't determine playoffs).

One team I've been impressed by this year has been Kentucky. And UCF is getting a little more respect this year.

It's awesome seeing UK at 13. When Stoops took over UK had 2 players on the roster from Ohio, now they have about 30. The Youngstown connection is paying off for the Cats.

Very happy for the UK program. The most success since Fran Curci was coach 40 years ago.

As to the poll, it does kind of set a baseline for the beginning CFP committee discussions. The fly in the ointment for Ohio State or other BIG 10 team in making the playoffs is Notre Dame. Love them or hate them, the Irish now have a shot at an undefeated season and the playoffs.

The rest of the top 20 were: LSU, Auburn, Florida, Wisky, WV, Stanford, OK St, Miss St, Texas A&M and Michigan St.

They only give ND a 22% chance of winning out and the schedule from here on out is not very good outside of VT (who shouldnt even be ranked) and unranked USC.

Ohio State has the #1 strength of record after 5 weeks.

I do not disagree with you about VPI, but I also remember a certain midwest team suffering a 31 point loss in an Iowa cornfield.
