Gift TD for the Bucks. Weber was stopped short of first down. Defense needs to tighten up. Same ol story as the last two weeks, come out slow then pick it up later.

Minny up 14-10 early second quarter. Gopher O-line controlling the line of scrimmage and their third string walk on QB looks like Steve Young against State's back seven. Simply put, OSU is getting manhandled physically.

State is going to be lucky to win this game unless Minny implodes. On the bright side, a close game is more interesting to watch.

Wow. This lackadaisical team is going to get its clock cleaned by someone sooner or later. Too many distractions before the season and not enough linebacker play on defense. Also, we can't line up under center on fourth and short? Woody is turning over in his grave

17-14 State at half thanks to a circus catch by KJ Hill.

Credit Minnesota for being more physical on both lines of scrimmage. They are executing proper blocking and tackling and appear to have at least close to equal speed and quickness as do the Buckeyes.

The other thing I noticed is that the Buckeyes seem just not to be mentally into the game. I wonder if Meyer, given his problems and suspension, has lost control of the locker room?

You just know the playoff committee is watching this and waiting for tOSU to stumble. State has to win out including the B1G Championship to sniff the playoffs

20-14 Buckeyes end of third quarter. Minnesota dominating every thing about the game except the score. Offensive line play has collapsed. This going to be an interesting final 15.

Seems like the coaches have lost confidence in the O line to knock Minny off the line of scrimmage. Another field goal by the back up kicker.

Perhaps teams have discovered they don't need to defend Haskins as a runner and can sell out against the backs. And the O line is awful. Prince needs to sit down

Buckeyes 30-14 final.

Except for Haskins and KJ Hill, three Minny turnovers, and one phantom first down early on, the Bucks would have been beaten down as they were at Iowa last year. Minnesota deserved a better fate.

As to State, total lack of concentration and execution. This late in the season it is not going to get fixed. Still OSU is 7-0 with a chance to 8-0.

Bad, Bad performance even with players out injured. You are Ohio State, next man up. Wasn’t Minn. playing several true freshman? Just no excuse for this in week 7....
At Purdue could be scary and while Sparty isn’t that good the trip up there is dangerous.

AM I THE ONLY ONE SICK OF WATCHING URBAN MEYER MANAGE A GAME. HE LOOKS LIKE HE'S GONNA THROW UP.
WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WAIT TILL SOMEBODY DRAWS BLOOD TO WAKE uP. THE CROWD WAS DEAD, THE TACKLING WAS AWFUL. BUT GLAD WITH THE WIN. URBAN YOU DON'T HAVE TO RE - INVENT THE WHEEL, 4TH AND ONE, YOU HAVE A BIG STRONG QB. AND A STRONG SET OF BACKS. AND WE GET IN A SHOTGUN AND HAND OFF 4 YARDS DEEP IN THE BACKFIELD. DID YOU SEE JOE BURROW GET UNDER CENTER AND DO A QB SNEAK WITH HIS BACKS AIDING HIM, IT'S LEGAL ALREADY.

okay with that said. despite a very pourous defense, injuries out the wazoo poor tackling and terrible line play on both sides of the ball. haskins still throws for over 400 yards. and we should move to 2 in the country with georgia falling. auburn lost their 3rd, and while I'm curious how fall Georgia falls. there should be no way ohio state isn't at 2 now. up next is a trip to purdue to shut down the boilers in the state of Indiana. and then the bucks head into their bye week before heading to husker country. what are your thoughts on the gopher game and this one coming up.

Ugly ugly ugly. Had we not had a few breaks go our way we would have been on the other end of that score. Purdue Neb Maryland to me are all trap games. MSU UM expected to be tough. we escaped this one. How many bullets can we dodge. I sure hope a man that makes the money those guys make can put a heavy emphasis on getting back to the basics and fundamentals of football. Blocking. Tackling. Pursuit angles. One game at a time. Go Bucks!
