It's that time of year again, championship season for fall sports in all three divisions. I'll cover the championships from all sports again from all three divisions. The selection show schedule is as follows:

The bracket for the 2018 D1 field hockey national championship was announced today. The field will consist of 10 conference tournament champions earning automatic bids, and the remaining six spots were give to at-large teams, primarily from the Big Ten and ACC. The four lowest seeded automatic qualifying teams will compete in opening round play, which will be this Wednesday, 11/7. Then, first round play will begin on 11/9, followed by the quarterfinals on 11/11. The semifinals will be on 11/16 and the championship game is set for 11/18.

The semifinals and championship game will be contested at Trager Stadium in Louisville, KY on the campus of Louisville.

North Carolina received the #1 overall seed for the tournament, followed by Maryland as the #2 seed. Last year's national champion, UConn, was the Big East conference champion, and will play Rutgers in the first round of competition.

Miami (OH) is the lone team from the state of Ohio to make the tournament, as they won the MAC title.

The D3 field hockey national championship bracket was also revealed today. The 17 conferences in D3 were awarded one automatic qualifier based on their conference tournament. Two additional independent schools were selected for the bracket, then 5 more schools from qualifying conferences were selected on an at-large basis. Denison qualified for the tournament as an automatic qualifier as the conference champion from the NCAC.

First round play will begin on Wednesday, 11/7. The semifinals will be on 11/17 with the championship on 11/18. Both of those will be played at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Manheim, PA.

2017 defending national champions Middlebury made the tournament as a conference champion.

The D3 women's volleyball bracket was released earlier today. Two teams from Ohio made the tournament: Denison (NCAC Champ) and Ohio Northern (OAC Champ). First round play will be on 11/8 and 11/9. The semifinals will be on 11/16 and the championship will be on 11/17. Play will be at the AJ Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

In D3 men's soccer, the bracket was released today. All games leading up to the semifinals will be played at the higher seeded teams home field. First round games will be on 11/10 and second round games will be played on 11/11. The semifinal will be November 30 and the championship on December 1 at the UNC Greensboro Soccer Stadium in Greensboro, NC.

Ohio teams making the tournament included: Case Western (At-large), Captial (At-large), Kenyon (NCAC Champ) and John Carroll (OAC Champ).

The D2 men's soccer national tournament bracket was also released today. Two to six teams were selected from each of the eight regions. Teams from the same region will be paired for first- and/or second-round competition, which will be conducted November 8-11 on campus sites. Third-round/quarterfinals will be held on campus sites and completed by November 18. The semifinals and final will be played Nov. 29 and Dec. 1 at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a part of the 2018 Division II National Championship Fall Festival. The Festival is hosted by Slippery Rock University and SportsPITTSBURGH.

Teams qualifying for the tournament from Ohio include: Notre Dame (Atlantic Region); Tiffin (Midwest Region); Ashland (Midwest Region).

The D3 women's soccer national tournament bracket was released today. Forty-three conferences were awarded automatic qualification for the 2018 championship. One team was selected from Pool B, which consists of independent institutions, as well as members of conferences that do not meet the requirements for automatic qualification. The final 20 berths were reserved for Pool C, which includes institutions from automatic-qualifying conferences that did not win their conference championship and any remaining Pool B teams.

Sixteen four-team sites will conduct first- and second-round play on the first weekend of the championship, November 9 and 10 or 10 and 11. Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional sites November 16 and 17 or 17 and 18. All games, except the semifinals and final, will be played on the campuses of competing institutions. Winners of the four sectionals will advance to the semifinals November 30 and December 1, at UNCG Soccer Stadium in Greensboro, North Carolina, with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Greensboro Sports Commission serving as hosts.

Teams from Ohio include: Mount St. Joseph (HCAC Champ); Wooster (NCAC Champ); Otterbein (OAC Champ).

The D2 women's soccer tournament bracket was released today. The Atlantic, South and South Central regions received six championship berths. The Southeast and West regions received seven championship berths. The Central, East and Midwest regions received eight championship berths. Championship berths were determined based on the number of institutions sponsoring the sport in each region. For first- and second-round competition, teams will compete at three- or four-team sites. Depending on the number of regional berths, the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds may have a bye in the first round. In regions with six berths, teams will be paired in their respective regions with the No. 4 seed playing the No. 5 seed; and the No. 3 seed facing the No. 6 seed. The winner of the No. 4/5 seed game will advance to play the No. 1 seed and the winner of the No. 3/6 seed game will take on the No. 2 seed. In regions with seven berths, the No. 2 seed will play the No. 7 seed in the first round. In regions with eight berths, the No. 1 seed will play the No. 8 seed in the first round.

First round matches will take place Thursday, Nov. 8 or Friday, Nov. 9 and second round matches will take place either Saturday, Nov. 10 or Sunday, Nov. 11. All games will be played on the campus of a participating institution and will consist of two sites per region. The two finalists in each subregion will advance to third- and quarterfinal-round competition to be played Thursday, Nov. 15 or Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17 or Sunday, Nov. 18. The semifinals and championship games will take place Nov. 29 and Dec. 1 at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh hosted by Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, and SportsPITTSBURGH.

Teams from Ohio include: Walsh and Ashland.

In D1 women's soccer, thirty-one conferences were granted automatic bids for the 2018 championship, while the remaining 33 teams were selected at-large. The top 16 teams are seeded and conference teams cannot play each other in the first or second rounds. When pairing teams, the committee follows geographic proximity parameters. The top 16 teams will host, and all other sites were selected for the first round to create the least number of flights.

All preliminary-round competition will take place at campus sites. First-round games will be played Nov. 9, 10 and 11. Second- and third-round games will be played Friday, Nov. 16 and Sunday, Nov. 18, and Quarterfinal games will be played Nov. 23 or 24.

The 37th annual NCAA Women's College Cup will be played Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina with Campbell University and the Town of Cary serving as co-hosts. The first national semifinal will be played and broadcast live on ESPNU at 5 p.m. Eastern time Friday, Nov. 30, followed by the second semifinal beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m. Eastern time live on ESPNU. The national championship match will take place at 1 p.m. Eastern time Sunday, Dec. 2 and will also broadcast live on ESPNU.

Teams from Ohio include: Bowling Green (MAC Champ); Ohio State (At-large).

Qualifiers for the D1 men's and women's cross country championships were announced today. The undisputed #1 ranked team on the men's side, Northern Arizona, earned an automatic qualification. The #1 ranked women's team, New Mexico, also earned an auto bid.

Thirty-one teams were selected to participate in each championship. The top two, seven-person teams automatically qualified from each of the nine regions, for a total of 18 teams. Thirteen additional teams were selected at-large. Thirty-eight individuals were selected to participate in each championship through an automatic qualifier and at-large selection process. All individual qualifiers finished in the top 25 in their regions.

On the men's side, the individuals qualifiers included: Aaron Bienenfeld (Cincinnati).

On the women's side, individual qualifiers included: Athena Welsh (Toldeo).

The championships will be November 17, at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisconsin, on the campus of Wisconsin.

The field for the D3 cross country national championships have been revealed. In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals must qualify in their respective NCAA regions. Thirty-two teams were selected to participate in each championship. The top two, seven-person teams automatically qualified from each of the eight regions, for a total of 16 teams. Sixteen additional teams were selected at-large. Fifty-six individuals, the first seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of a qualifying team, were selected to participate in each championship.

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is hosting the championships Nov. 17 at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wisconsin. The women’s race will begin at 12:15 p.m. Eastern, followed by the men’s race at 1:15 p.m. Eastern time.

On the men's side from Ohio, Otterbein earned an auto bid, and Case Western earned an at-large bid. On top of numerous individuals qualifying for the championships.

On the women's side from Ohio, Baldwin Wallace earned an auto bid, Oberlin and Otterbein earned at-large bid, in addition to several individuals.

The bracket for the D3 football national championship has been released. Mount Union will once again be the #1 seed in the bracket. First round play will begin this Saturday at the higher seeded team's campus. The championship will be December 14th at Woodforest Stadium in Shenandoah, TX.

Teams from Ohio include: Mount Union, Denison and John Carroll.

Additionally, the bracket for D2 football has been revealed. The championship game will be December 15th at McKinney ISD Stadium in McKinney, TX. Four #1 seeds were earned in the tournament, and Notre Dame College out of Ohio received one of them. The other three went to Ouachita Baptist, Valdosta State and Minnesota State-Mankato.

Notre Dame is the only Ohio team in the bracket.

The NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Committee has selected the 64 teams that will participate in the 2018 NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship. Eight teams were selected from each of the following eight regions: Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, Southeast, South Central and West. Eight eight-team regionals will be played at on-campus sites. Regional competition will be single-elimination, best three-of-five-set matches and will not include a third-place match. The winners of each of the eight regionals will advance to the finals, Nov. 29-Dec. 1, at the A.J. Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Ashland was the only Ohio team selected in the 64 team bracket.

The field and bracket for the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship was announced Monday by the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Committee, which awarded the tournament’s No. 1 seed to Wake Forest.

The 48-team field is made up of champions from 24 conferences, who qualified automatically, in addition to 24 teams that were selected at-large. The top 16 teams were seeded and receive first round byes. All first-round games will be played Thursday, Nov. 15, on campus sites, while all second-round action will take place Sunday, Nov. 18. The third round will be played Nov. 24 and 25, while the quarterfinals will be played Nov. 30 or Dec. 1. The College Cup will be held Dec. 7 and 9 at Harder Stadium on the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara as the championship returns to the West Coast for the first time since 2010. ESPNU will provide live coverage of the semifinals and national championship game.

Akron qualified for the tournament as the MAC Champion.

The national semifinals for D1 field hockey is now set. The matchups, set for this Friday (11/16), will be:

North Carolina vs. Wake Forest
Maryland vs. Princeton

Then the championship will be on Sunday.

Northern Arizona has yet again defended their national title in D1 men's cross country, winning their third consecutive. They ran away with the team title with 83 points, followed by BYU with 116 points.

The D3 men's cross country national champions were decided today as well, and no other team was even in the same ballpark. North Central (Ill) claimed the team title with just 43 points, followed by Washington (Mo) with 110 points. For North Central, it was their third consecutive national title, and their 19th in program history.
