The killer instinct was there. Especially at the end of the season. Least we are showing the world the CFP made a mistake by us not being there. The Buckeyes play like the last of the season big10 title game now rose bowl. They could beat anyone on any given day.

28-3 State at end of 3 with Washington driving. State won the quarter 7-0 but seemed to have lost some of their edge.

28-10, shades of Tim Tebow for UW. Gaskins is a quality back.

Big-10 East has -0- bowl wins this year other than OSU in this game and the West winner ended with a 9-5 record. No CFB snub IMO by the committee for Big-10 .

Buckeyes used very little clock after that Husky TD. Snapping the ball with 15-20 on the play clock, even on the 4th down punt. They could have ran another minute off... and it wasn’t that series was aggressive, cause it wasn’t..

...and when you get all puffed up about the Buckeyes, they lose focus and give Huskies some fluff. Takes away from the talk about the Bucks deserving a shot in the playoffs.

Well, here we go. Buckeyes letting them slip right back into it. 6:42 to play 28-17

Buckeye offense has fallen asleep since going up 28-3. Have been playing without a cause instead of trying to bury them...

28-17. 6 minutes to go. Washington now dominating everything but the scoreboard.

Buckeye offense with another terrible 2 and out. Misread by Haskins on 2nd down.

Wow, another bad series with under 4:00 to play including a false start. Used up very little clock.

Why decline the penalty? Punt it again, use more clock and try to pin em deeper.

What a letdown in 2nd half. The air is coming out of the Buckeye balloon. Yea they'll win (maybe) but it just doesn't feel good.

State sends Urban off into the sunset with a 28-23 victory over Washington. The Huskys did everything in the last 18 minutes but win the game. The Huskys out gained the Bucks and Browning out performed Haskins.

For two and a half quarters State's offense was efficient with a solid running game and crisp short passing. Their D covered and kept plays in front of them with few penalties. OSU looked playoff worthy but the flaws shown in the prior games resurfaced. Washington deserves credit in that they did not give up. That and Peterson out coached the Buckeye staff in the second half.

A 13 win season and a Rose Bowl championship are great accomplishments, and the fans saw moments of the Bucks playing to their full potential, but State just never found the mental focus all season to be a true national championship contender.

Grateful for what Urban has done at OSU. Many remarkable things. But I'm also ready to see a very hungry Ryan Day lead this program to what should be a killer instinct and less conservative offensive scheme.

Go Bucks

Amen, but concerned about the QB situation next year.

13-1
Big Ten Champions
Rose Bowl Champions

With Notre Dame losing badly the Buckeyes will finish top 5 and see what Georgia does - currently down 7-0.
