I thought this might be a cool little read for most. This is a display of how many championships have been won by each conference. I know that a lot of schools haven't always played in the same conference, so this is based on which conference the school is currently in.
***Every national title between 1870 and 1900 was won by a team that is currently FCS.
***When the national champions was decided in polls, there was often more than one team crowned champions.

Re: FBS Football National Championships by Conference
Considering the Big10 original members have only won three undisputed (68,02,and 14) championships since 1966, that does not do much to bolster the rep of the BIG.

Yep, 50 years and 3 titles doesn't bode well for the conference. (OSU shared in 70 but lost to Plunkett and Stanford in the Rose that year and Michigan's share in 97 are the only other 2 that had a pulse).

In the 1934, it was Minnesota listed as the national champion (by all 3 rating systems)
They switched to the AP National Champions in 1936. In 1941, it also has Minnesota listed as the AP National Champions.
