The Buckeyes showed some major composure to earn a win on Saturday and to stay undefeated on the season. They took on #11 Notre Dame in South Bend, and got out with an 11-10 victory in overtime. At the half, the Buckeyes trailed by 4 goals, and at one time in the second half, they trailed by 5. But, they fought back and scored 8 goals in the second half, and tallied the game winner in overtime off the stick of Colby Smith to secure the win. Leading OSU was Jackson Reid with 4 goals and 1 assist.

OSU dropped a match for the first time this season on Sunday inside Ohio Stadium, as they fell in their Big Ten opener to Rutgers, 14-6. The first period run by the Knights proved to be too much to overcome for the Buckeyes, as they trailed 5-1 after the first period. two straight solid periods let them stay close, but Rutgers used yet another solid 5-1 period in the fourth to take home the victory. Leading the Buckeyes was Tre Leclaire who tallied 2 goals. Josh Kirson took the loss in goal with 9 saves, as he drops to 6-1 on the year.

For Rutgers, Kieran Mullins had a very nice game with 4 goals and 4 assists. Goalie Max Edelmann secured the win with 17 saves, and improved to 4-4 on the year.

Ohio State's next match will be when they travel to Penn State next Sunday.

The Buckeyes played a hard fought game on Sunday night in State College against #1 ranked Penn State, but ultimately fell short in the game, losing 13-8. There are definitely worse things than losing to the #1 team in the nation on the road, but it wasn't the result the Buckeye faithful were hoping for. Leading the way for OSU again was Tre Leclaire with 4 goals.

Grant Ament led the way for Penn State, although scoring just 2 goals he tallied a nice 6 assists, to go along with 3 goals from Mac O'Keefe and Cole Willard.

Ohio State will hit the road again next Sunday against Johns Hopkins.

After falling to the unanimous #1 team on Sunday in Penn State, the Buckeyes dropped from #9 to #12 in this week's poll. They'll have an opportunity to stop the bleeding in a huge way this coming weekend as they'll play #16 Johns Hopkins.

After losing two straight tough games, the Buckeyes picked up a much needed conference win over a ranked opponent. And wouldn't you know it, it was on the road at #16 Johns Hopkins, 14-13, and it took a comeback party to do it. After the first period, the Buckeyes trailed 3-1, then trailed 8-3 at the half. When it looked like all hope was lost, OSU stormed back in the third period with a 7-3 advantage, to make it an 11-10 deficit after three periods. They kept that momentum going to outscore Johns Hopkins 4-2 in the final period and secure the win.

That final goal of the night came from the stick of Jackson Reid, his 22nd of the year, with just 49 seconds remaining. Reid also lead the Buckeyes in the game, scoring 5 goals and notching 1 assist.

Leading the way for Hopkins was Alex Concannon with 4 goals and 2 assists.

Next Saturday is when Ohio State's next game will take place, as they host Maryland in The Shoe.

The Buckeyes (8-3; 1-3) lost a heart breaker in overtime to #2 Maryland (11-2; 3-1) on senior day in Ohio Stadium, by a final score of 10-9. At halftime, Maryland held a commanding 6-1 lead. But, OSU came back with a dominant second half to tie the game back up and then take the lead with 3:40 left in regulation. As the clock ticked it looked like the Buckeyes would have a monster comeback victory, but, with 23 seconds left in regulation, Maryland's Logan Wisnauskas buried one in the back of the net to send it to OT. The two teams were in OT and not much action occurred until there was 3:29 remaining, the Terrapin's Jared Bernhardt got an unassisted goal for the Maryland victory.

Leading the Buckeyes with 4 points was Jack Myers (1 goal and 3 assists), while Jackson Reid and Tre Leclaire each tallied 2 goals for OSU.

For Maryland, Wisnauskas led the way with 4 points (3 goals and 1 assist).

Goalkeeper Line:
Win: Danny Dolan (11-2) - 10 saves
Loss: Josh Kirson (7-3) - 9 saves

Ohio State wraps up the regular season against their bitter rival, Michigan, as they'll hit the road for Ann Arbor next Friday.

Playing in their regular season finale in Ann Arbor, the Buckeyes fell to the Wolverines, 13-10. The second quarter barrage by Michigan was too much for the Buckeyes to overcome, as the Wolverines took an 8-4 lead into halftime. Jackson Reid led OSU with 5 goals on the night, on Friday.

Alex Buckanavage led the way for the Wolverines, tallying 1 goal and 4 assists.

Goalkeeper Line:
Win: Gunner Garn (1-4) - 9 saves
Loss: Josh Kirson (7-4) - 6 saves

That will end the Buckeyes season, as they do not earn a trip to the Big Ten Tournament, since they were not a top 4 seed.
