For most of the game Binghamton (6-15, 2-4 American East) had a 6-10 point before settling on the eleven point win. The Bearcats overcame a late first half comeback by Maine (3-18, 1-5 Conf) that cut the lead to two at the half and then a quick start that allowed the Black Bears to take the lead, early in the final half.

Leading the march to victory was, Caleb Stewart (Glenville, NY) 26 points and 11 rebounds. His top help came from, Sam Sessoms (Philadelphia, PA) 14 points and 4 assist. As a team the Bearcats shot 54.3% from the field, including 48% from the three point line.

Maine, who fought hard got 14 points from Vilgot Larsson (Stockholm, Sweden)which is twice his average on the season.
The Black Bears were Polar Bear cold from the field, hitting just 39.7% of their shots.
