Youngstown State( 12-16, 8-7 Horizon) for the first time since 1997 have won six straight games and broke a four game losing streak again U.I.C.(14-13, 8-6 Conf). Leading the way for the Penguins was all everything Freshman, Darius Quisenberry (Springfield, Oh) 37 points, 4 assist, 3 steals and 3 rebounds. Helping out in the win were Devin Morgan (Chester, Va.) 15 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assist and Jelani Simmons (Columbus, Oh) 10 points and 5 assist.

For U.I.C. the loss broke a four game winning streak. At one point in the opening half the Flames led by twelve points before trailing by five at the half. Leading the way in defeat was, Godwin Boahen (Toronto,On) 20 points and 5 boards. He was helped by Marcus Ottey (Ajax, ON) 18 points and 1 blocked shot.
