There will be a QB Competition between Justin Fields and Matthew Baldwin - Ryan Day

Looks like the job isn't gonna be handed to Fields. Baldwin is extremely talented and could definitely push for the job. Reminds of Haskins/Burrow competition.

Fields sat behind Fromm @ Georgia and you can bet your bottom $ that promises were made. He will not sit this year and this competition is just a formality to appease the media, fans and the aforementioned returning player. We'll see if Baldwin stays after this year with the ball being firmly in the grasp of the newbie.

I see young head coach Ryan Day is well on his way to learning the fine art of "coach speak". After all he did serve under the master of double talk, Urban Meyer. I fear Mr. Baldwin may be a candidate for the transfer portal sooner than we think. Fields should be a star and I do not think Baldwin will wait until 2021 for his chance to start. Free agency is now a fact in college football.

NCAA FBS is definitely a free agent market now. The once hard to get grant immediate eligibility is now the seeming thing of the past and it’s opened up the gates
