It was probably one of the bigger upsets of the year, as the Buckeyes picked up a 67-60 victory over #2 Louisville on Thursday. Besides trailing at halftime, OSU never trailed at the end of any quarter. Dorka Juhasz led the way for the Buckeyes with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Kierstan Bell was close behind with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Dana Evans led the way for the Cardinals with 18 points.

Next up, Ohio State hosts Radford on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Buckeyes (6-3) picked up a 70-57 victory over visiting Radford (2-5) in Columbus. After only leading by 5 at halftime, the Buckeyes were able to add to the lead a little each quarter, to ultimately pull out the 13 point victory. Dorka Juhasz was the leader on the board for OSU again, as she tallied 21 points and added 6 rebounds. Kierstan Bell followed her by adding 15 points. Leading the way for Radford was Khiana Johnson with 16 points.

Next up, Ohio State is off until next Sunday when they play at Stanford.

The Buckeyes wrapped up their tough non-conference schedule earlier this week on the west coast. On Sunday, they played yet another top 5 team, playing on the road against #1 Stanford, and ultimately falling to the Cardinal 71-52. Then they wrapped up their trip on Tuesday night, as they won on the road at Sacramento State, 104-74.

Next up, Ohio State begins their conference schedule, as they host Purdue next Saturday.

In their conference opener, both Dorka Juhasz and Madison Greene each scored 12 points, but it wasn't enough, as the Buckeyes (7-5; 0-1), fell to Purdue (10-3; 1-0) by a final score of 66-50 on Saturday. Leading the way for Purdue was Kayana Traylor with 15 points.

Next up, Ohio State plays at Minnesota on Tuesday.

In their second game of conference play, the Buckeyes pulled off a nice little upset, defeating #24 Minnesota on the road, 66-63. After leading at the end of the 1st quarter, and at halftime, OSU trailed by 2 entering the 4th quarter, before playing a great final quarter to earn the victory. Both Aaliyah Patty and Kierstan Bell led the way for the Buckeyes, each scoring 13 points, while Patty also added 10 rebounds. The Gophers were led by a monster 26 points from Destiny Pitts.

Next up, Ohio State travels to Maryland on Monday.

I think that the Lady Buckeyes have a lot of talent, but there inconsistent play has a lot to do with the fact that they are pretty young, and they may just be a year away from being a pretty good team. They have played a pretty good schedule and against some very good teams this year.

Facing their second consecutive top 25 team on the road last night, the Buckeyes were unable to pull off another upset, as they fell to #17 Maryland 72-62 on Monday night in College Park. OSU played a great first half of basketball, as they led by 7 points at the halftime break. But a miserable second half ultimately doomed the Buckeyes.

Dorka Juhasz and Jacy Sheldon each scored 12 points for OSU, while Braxtin Miller was right behind with 11 points. Leading the way for the Terrapins was Kaila Charles with 28 points.

Next up is a rivalry game, as Ohio State will host #24 Michigan on Thursday.
