Northern Iowa (25-5, 14-4 MVC) had little difficulty in pounding Drake (18-13, 8-10 Conf) to wrap up their first outright MVC championship since 2010. The Panthers are projected to be a 12 seed in the NCAA tourney according to the announcers who did this game. I personally think that is to high for them. I was thinking a 9 maybe a 10. Austin Phyfe (Waverly, IA) led the way in the win, with 18 boards and 17 points. AJ Green (Cedar Falls, IA) and Isaiah Brown (Flower Mound, TX) each totaled 15 points. Roman Penn (Calumet City, IL) led Drake with 17 points and 7 boards.
