UTSA led 12-0 and then watched in horror as Troy slowly scored 18 unanswered points to win by the count of 18-12. USTA had five turnovers making things way too easy for the winners. Gunnar Watson (Butler, Georgia) threw for just 113 yards and one touchdown. He was sacked six times. Kimani Vidal (Marietta, Georgia) rushed for a touchdown and 73 yards on 22 carries. Kevorian Barnes (San Augustine, Texas) had 132 yards on 21 carries.
