This was a good bowl game. BYU (8-5) was able to stop a game-winning two-point conversion by the Mustangs (7-6) to get the one-point win. Sol-Jay Maiava-Peters (Hauula, HI) and Christopher Brooks (Oceanside, CA) each had a rushing touchdown in the win. In the loss Tanner Mordecai (Waco, TX) threw for 218 yards with two scores and a pick. Ben Bywater (Salt Lake City, UT) had 11 tackles, and Pepe Tanuvasa (Tigard, OR) recorded 19 tackles to lead the winners defense.
