Gene Smith to retire in 2024

I'm not a fan of him, too bad he doesn't just retire now.

I'm with ya. There is just something about him that's shifty.

They'll miss him. He's ran one of the biggest and most profitable athletic departments in the country since I was on campus (a little white ago!). The general public just sees him as the football coach's boss, but there are 35 other varsity sports he manages... and judging just on football alone, Ohio State is the only northern football program that has seen sustained success over the last twenty years, and that's across three coaching staffs.

I lost total respect for anything and everything about Gene Smith when he watched Tress fall on the sword over an issue that Gene knew all the details about as well.
