Youngstown State (12-5, 4-2 Horizon) tried hard to blow a 27-point lead but the Mastodons (13-4, 4-2 conf) ran out of gas and time falling by just eight points. The Penguins hit 26-30 free throws with Brett Thompson (Oakland, CA) hitting 17-20 from the charity strip on his way to a 24-point night. He also dished out 7 assists. Ziggy Reed (Baltimore, MD) added 23 points and a steal. Brandon Rush (Warrensville Heights, OH) chipped in with 20 points and 6 boards. For the Mastondons, slippery Rasheed Bello (Chicago, IL) led the way with 25 points, 6 boards, and 3 assists. Quinton Morton-Boberston ( Radford, VA) added 21 points.
