OSU President Gee speaks out against Boise St and TCU
In an article on espn.com, President Gee has been quoted as saying that both TCU and Boise State have not played schedules tough enough to warrant an appearance in the National Championship game if either would run the table.
He also states that the SEC and Big Ten teams do not play "the sisters of the poor".
Now as a Buckeye fanatic, I agree with the schedule situation of both TCU and Boise. All of their "big wins" this year have proven to be against subpar competition as the teams they got big wins over went on to lose games against struggling programs, by large margins.
But I dont think it is a great idea for Gee to be chiming in on football schedules, national championships and who has earned what.
Thoughts?

Gordon Geeko
..Now there is a real knowledgeable football guru. And he just set his university and team up to be ridiculed and hammered all around the country for the weak league and schedule they play. And man is it happening
He needs to just stay on Wall Street and....ah,excuse me...wrong guy. But speaking of Michael Douglas.Has anyone else noticed how much the little Senator sounds like him?...Next time he says"Our guys illicit huge emotional performances from other teams" or "We want to play fast at Ohio State with velocity" close your eyes and listen. Sounds just like old Gecko.

The trouble with todays society is it isn't politically correct to say this or that. I am glad he said what he thinks instead of worrying about what everyone else will think.

His comments are referring to the possibility of Boise or TCU getting a spot in the title game, instead of an unbeaten SEC, Big 10, or other UNBEATEN BCS conference school.
He is saying that going undefeated in the MWC or WAC is not the same as doing the same in the SEC or Big 10. This is something that has been mentioned by nearly everyone on here. Now it's just being stated by a university president.
Bravo Dr. Gee, thanks for saying what every other prez is thinking!

Boise state won't do it. They turned down Nebraska because Nebraska wouldn't pay them 3 million. Big boy football teams don't do pay for play (bad phrase AUBURN MISS ST)

Boise State
In 2011 they Have Georgia
In 2012 they have Michigan
Doesn't lool like they are the ones who are scared to play and both of those games are road games.

The Biggest joke and injustice of the BCS this year, and there are always several every year, is that 3 teams from the Big Ten are in the top ten...A complete and utter joke.Do they think they are selling this junk to real college football fans?...

Yea, the Buckeyes schedule was brutal this year. Juggernauts like Marshall, OU, EMU, ILL, Minnesota, PSU, Purdue, Indiana, the U and Iowa. The only DECENT team they played, Wisconsin, embarrassed the bucks. Yep, that's a murderers row if I ever saw one.
Here's what is going to happen. IF OSU gets by Michigan the bucks will get a BCS berth. The Buckeyes will then play TCU/BSU in the bowl game and get waxed. Yet another black eye for the Scarlett and Grey

You serious Clark? Oregon below Stanford is laughable. Could you give me a box score of that game or would that contradict your rankings? The General wrote:f-n-b.....You are very prespective and intelligent. Top Ten Teams in the nation:

I agree with Gee ... But the same could be said of OSU ( Marshall, OU, EMU ) plus OSU has 8 home games....
National Champ should be the SEC West Champ..
National Champ should be the SEC West Champ..
Re: OSU President Gee speaks out against Boise St and TCU
LOL.... I WAS being sarcastic.... A true playoff is needed .... But the SEC West is really good this year ....
They just beat up on each other....
