Burg is solid in 7th and 8th. ND has a good group in 8th grade.

Wheelersburg 8th grade should be the top team. 7th grade is good but not seen other 7th grade teams to compare them to.
8th grade:
1. Wheelersburg
2. Minford
3. Waverly
4. Northwest
5. South Webster
6. Oak Hill
7. Valley
8. P. West

Agree for most part with your rankings. Northwest will be tougher this year. They played a lot over the summer. Waverly's best post player transferred to Eastern. Word is West will not even have an 8th grade team this year- they didn't have a 7th grade team last year. Would put Oak Hill up with Waverly and Northwest.

Portsmouth West will have both 7th and 8th grade girls teams this season. I have been following them all summer, because we was wanting to play Burg again this season.

Who was Waverly's best post player that transferred to Eastern?

Watched most the teams play some at the previews yesterday.

SOC1
Green(8th Grade) Very good, beat Webster 15-4
Notre Dame - Very Good, but it's a 1 player team.
Clay - Ok
East - Better than they were a year ago. STILL need a lot of work.
New Boston - Not very good.

The SOC 2 Teams didn't really impress me either..this will be Burgs to lose.

Who are the top players to look out for? Not familiar with names, but the kid from Wheelersburg is real good, minford also has a couple of very nice players. Who else?

West will improve greatly going forward with the change to Mike Adkins as coach. He is excellent. Should've made that change 3 or 4 years ago.

Lady Oaks 7th and 8th grade teams have group of girls that have played a lot of ball together and a lot of travel ball. Have a lot of upside. Will be interesting to see how they develop over the course of the season.

ND 34
Green 29

Based on what I saw and the scores I'm hearing from other games these are probably two of the top teams around.

Jackson has an outstanding 7th grade PG (Webb) and good 8th grade all around player with height (Evans). They're both impressive and will probably make an impact the minute they set foot in high school. Nice talent.
