I don't have Clay in mine for 9/10 boys, however this may have changed. They will all probably change a bit here and there.

mr t,

I haven't seen the actual brackets yet....is your list the way the brackets are listed? i.e. winner of Portsmouth/Chillicothe plays winner of Chesy/Minford? There are some heavy hitters in the top bracket if so. Chesapeake, Wheelersburg, Portsmouth, Minford I know will be strong. In fact, this group as 9/10s made up four of the final 5 teams. 'Burg and Chesapeake were in the final 3 last year and Chesapeake returns 7 of 9 starters. This is also the third year in a row the 'Peake and Minford have met in the first round...this group played each other as 9/10s then a rematch last year. Each has won once and the winner has gone on to be at least in the top 3 each of the last two years.

Gonna be fun as always. Good luck all!

yes, that is the way the brackets are listed, i put the line halfway to represesnt top half of brack and lower half of bracket to help make it easier to read. And i think your right, its kinda top heavy if last year is any indication of what to expect. Should be a good tourney.

Here's a heads up for those interested in the 11-12 girls tourney at Lucasville. It will be starting much earlier than originally scheduled. Check with your team's manager to find out how soon your team will play. That information should be reaching the managers today.

from what I heard, tourney starts next week July 7th-july 12th---State tourney starts July 17th. Most teams will not even have uniforms now. I know we won't.

This is an absolute joke!! How can the district, and its president make such a big mistake? You would think they would know when the state tournament was before now!! The District tournament should have never been scheduled for the week of the 15th in the first place!!! Now you are going to have teams who may not have enough players....no uniforms...uniforms that have been ordered AND PAID FOR that will not arrive until the tournament is over!! Vacations being cancelled..etc, etc!! This is no more than the inability to plan and organize!!!

I know that central region sets the state dates not the district and there was a conflict that was just found. We had to cancel our uniforms and will probably just have tshirts.
I know there are people who are on vacation because they thought it would be later. I was told that the DA moved the districts later than usual because the state tournament was in District 11 and no one would have to raise money to go.

The State Tournament was also held in our district (Ironton) last year and the dates were not changed. Why change the tournament to July 15th?? This would have meant the girls wouldn't be playing for at least a month. Also, what if it would have rained all week? That wouldn't have left any time to get the tournament finished.......because the State Tournament was scheduled for the next week. I know that when the district tournament dates were announced a while back, and everyone seen that it had been changed there was alot of complaining, and many of the schools asked if they could be moved back to the original date (1st of July). The requests and concerns were totally ignored by the district!!

I would agree with your statement. It's over and let's just play ball. Nothing will change it now.
