Good win by West in a sloppy game. Valley led the entire time until the final 40 seconds or so. West was tough inside and beat Valley up on the glass. Hopefully these guys will have a rubber match in the county tournament.

I took in this game and it was a sloppy game. Alot of that is the zone defense by Valley. I really don't understand what you are teaching at the middle school level playing zone all game especially when you have 5 good players. It may be best to win now, but that won't work at the next level. West played man the whole game. Valley spread them out and got some back cuts but I was impressed with West's on the ball defense.

I agree with the other comment, I saw West beat some good teams at Jackson without their best player in the summer. They have 3 other really good players and some others that contribute.

With Will Futhey back no question. Trey Robertson had a great game!

Very surprised at both the 7th and 8th grade scores from the Valley/Burg games. Wondering if all the teams were at full strength?
