Post by swamisez »

Started looking for jobs here in the last few days.

Anyone got any suggestions for places to look?

I don't know what teaching level you are looking at but as far as I know Westfall should have a High school science position open with the loss of that teacher a few weeks ago due to a car accident. Also the rumor of our VP leaving depending on who gets that position there may be another spot open up.

Again, not sure what you're looking for. South Webster has 3 teaching jobs open for next year. They were advertised in the paper. Music teacher, math teacher, and science teacher. all are high school teachers. You might want to check with the school 740-778-2320 is the number to the high school. (if and when they get back to school after this weather!) GOOD LUCK! Oh, btw, the math teacher was also the high school track & cross country coach.

The Juvenile Correctional Facility in Franklin Furnace is always hiring teachers. Pay is good but you have to put up with more crap then you would in a public school.

If you are willing to relocate, school districts in the southeast states, particularly North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, are desperate for new teachers for the influx of new residents that move there each year.

Not that I know of off hand, but even if we didn't have a head coach spot open I am sure they could find a nice place for him.

my gf lives in huntington so i am looking to move a little closer as I am here in Marietta.

I am licensed but there aren't any jobs open down here, and I dont want to relocate way away as I see this relationship as something worth putting time in to.

Portsmouth would be an improvement for us def. I will look into it.

Just seen in the paper that East could be looking for a new baseball coach next year. Guillen stepped down apparently and will have a new coach this season.
