Is that one hamburger stand joint that was located off Park Avenue where it meets 52 and 93 still there? I liked their hamburgers.

Kehoe's?? But wasn't it something else before that?

Kehoe's doesn't sound right. It may have changed to Kehoe's later, but that name doesn't sound right.

I remember it being called Kehoe's too.

You could get two burgers for one dollar.

I also miss C.R. Thomas in Ironton.

I loved their burgers and wege fries.

It is too bad they ran it in the ground and it had to be closed. :(

I agree that I miss C R Thomas restaurant; but I really, REALLY miss having Hills/Ames department store here in Ironton!! I hate having to go across the River to shop and I try to do that as seldom [maybe once a month] as possible.

The Outpost was popular in "the day." Also loafed some at Jerry's... Route "23"

The one I missed the most for a while was Pop's Place in Wheelersburg.

I agree with you. I hate spending my money in Kentucky and West Virginia.

I try to buy what I can in Ironton and other areas in Ohio first.

I have a Borden Burger glass.

You wouldn't have missed the one in Portsmouth that was there in the 70's since they caught an employee getting personal with the tartar sauce, if you get my drift. They had no idea how long he had been doing it, but he worked there for around a year. Thanks God I never ate there.

I miss Pops in the Burg. That was a great place to go and have breakfast after leaving the bars. Also, their onion rings were awesome.

I also miss the Smashburger that was in the Burg. Great hamburgers and really pretty girls.

If you liked CR Thomas, then you need to check out Woody's Surfside Cafe in Huntington. The people who owned CR's owns this place and they have a lot of the same stuff on the menu.

It's on 4th Avenue next to the Japanese Steakhouse.

I went there because I heard the food was simliar to CR's.

I wasn't happy with it at all. Most of the food is Jamaican influenced.

The hamburger was not the same at all. The fries weren't either.

We also got potato skins and they weren't very good.

I have heard that the mushrooms are the same but I don't like mushrooms.

So, if you are going there looking for CR's food, you will be disappointed unless you want the mushrooms.
