Friday may 4th they are supposed to raise the gates 1.5 feet. and then measure water levels. then another 1.5 feet sometime between the and memorial day. and see if the lake maintains the level. frankly I say raise the gates, leak er not. leave them up. God will fix it. and don't manipulate the dam manually every time you smell rain coming. let the dam do what a dam does.

lets get things back to normal round here already.

GOD'S PEREFECT TIMING THEY RAISED THEM HALFWAY ABOUT 4. AND NOW WE'RE GETTIN AFRICAN RAINS. SO HOPEFULLY NOW THE LAKE HOLDS THE WATER, THANK YOU LORD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the water has risen over a foot as of Monday.

if the lake maintains the water levels. they will raise the rest of the way. and state that will be done no later than memorial day.

I had a neighbor that went fishing here yesterday. and just using an in-line spinner bait, like a rooster tail. and he caught 3 bass over 3 pounds, several crappie over 10 inches, a bunch of bluegills and a 12'' saugeye. so hopefully this water stays in the lake , and hopefully they can restock again.

I didn't mean to say here meaning my house. he lives about a half mile from me. on 552, but caught these right in front of his house. so if they're there, they're here.

it looks nice here. I can't wait to hear if the lake is holding the water so they can finish raising the gate n restock.

it's looking nice omega. I was weedeating down there yesterday. and it's fully up under my dock now with a maybe 5/6 inches of depth. the next level raise will make the big difference. they are monitoring the water level to see if we are maintaining the level. and we have several days of rain forecast starting today. so just say a prayer that the lake is holding the water, and they can raise the dam the rest of the way. and things can get back to normal here. thanks for the well wishes.

somebody told me the gate got raised to the top. but I've not been around there yet.

they have the gates raised. so one can only assume they think the lake is retaining the water. if that is not the case. or entirely the case. best case scenario the gates are up. if some is leaking out. let nature fix it. enough silt here to stop a hole eventually. and the gate/dam is doing it's job as far as water retention/flood control.

Silt is good stuff for holding water.
