Who was your first concert?
Re: Who was your first concert?
A group called the Godz from Columbus in 1976 at Secrest Auditorium in Zanesville. 1900 people sold out the building that night.

I saw The Godz in Huntington in 1976 or 1977 and they put on a great show until someone threw a joint on the stage and the lead singer picked it up and lit it. You would have thought he had a weapon with the amount of cops that charged the stage, stopped the show, and arrested the singer.

Ahh...referring to my old buddy Eric Moore

I haven't seen any of the band for several years now, but I do stay in contact Eric and Bob Hill. Bob owns and lives on a ranchin Texas and still does a little writing, but very little performing. Eric who is now 55, still performs like he always did....drunk. But thats the way he does it. Guitar in one hand and Wild Turkey in the other.
Mark Chatfield had a falling out with Eric and left the band and formed "Rosie" around 81-82. That band later folded and he went on to play with a few years with Bob Seger, until Seger got tired of him for showing off too much on stage.

Aerosmith and the Black Crows --- you rock girl!
I figured if Steven Tyler ( who is one year older than me ) could jump and flip around while he sang ,at his age, then the least I could do, was go watch.

i'm not sure what kind of shows Metallica put on back in the day but after this past weekend i gotta say the old men can still put on one hell of a show! probably one of the best experiences of my rather short life thus far. the opening bands kinda sucked but once Metallica hit the stage my arse didnt touch the seat for the entire 2 and a half hours they were playing. they played a great mix of the new CD and the classics. not to mention the stage effects were incredible. lights, lasers, pyro, big-@$$ coffins hanging from the ceiling that moved...it was an amazing experience to say the least. if i can afford it i'll definitely be catching that show again the next time they come to C-bus.
