Some unknown shoveled my long front walk earlier today, which was nice of them. I went out a little bit ago and did my drive and everything again. I bet there was two inches on my front walk that already had been shoveled. Looked like close to 4" to me as well Noreply out back that hadn't been touched, when I shoveled it. I didn't measure, just eye balled it, give or take. I had 6" low cut boots on and the snow was a little under them. Good dry easy to shovel snow though. Good and cold precip.

gauge has a little over 4 inches.............getting ready to start the snow blower up.............she is my one legged buck tooth neighbor...just grab her by the leg and turn her up side down and her mouth goes so fast that she will do an average walk in 3 minutes. She gets over heated some and she looks to blow anytime.

Little snow activity late tonight/tomorrow. 1 to 3". -6° for Thursday AM. Might see another bigger southern storm come up through here this coming weekend. Sat/Sun. Precip yet to be determined according to the track. Right now they think a snow/mix event.

They say, it's a big Siberia air mass that crossing the North pole coming through Canada effecting northeastern US. Record smashing low temps will effect the Ohio valley to Tennessee/Virginia/North Carolina for Thur/Fri. Looks like heavy snow and mix precip Saturday, then to rain Sunday with a temp around 40, then back to snow with more freezing temps after the storm rolls through. But all the precip they are predicting depends on the track. Keeping an eye on it they keep saying.   Some crazy A$$ weather imo.

Well, no 40 for Sunday/calling for 27 now. Big mess still charging this way. Winter storm warning in effect from 7pm this evening till 7pm Saturday. Snow moving in late tonight and Saturday and possible mix precip. Cold again next week but not as cold as this Siberian blast.

Yep, it's suppose to be a long lasting/long track storm. 3 to 5 this evening/over night and 3 to 5 more tomorrow. Looks like your snow blower will be out again Noreply. I hate to get the shovel out again but it looks like it will get a work out. :122249 :(

Bob Nunally on ch.4 says we will get 3-6 total by Sunday in counties south of Columbus, Chris Bradley ch.10 says national weather service says 3-5 but is concerned that might be a little low with the latest models and will give his official prediction at 5pm today. Can't wait to see who was closer when the rulers come out Sat/Sun,but no matter how much we get I got a feeling this will be a hard sweaty shovel with all the ice and rain mixed in

Just glad it's going to snow first then the possible icing they are talking about then back to snow. On a shoveling fact, if the ice/mixed falls first it's harder than he(( to deal with, rather have the crusty shi+ on the top. This is one long track storm, timing and movement will be the factor, but definitely we are going to get hit with plenty of precip. The set up is perfect for a deep snow fall, cold air in place and the storm coming up from the south with a 24 hour storm warning timeline. The shovel and beer is ready for what ever we get. :( :( :(

Ganahl said at 11pm 5-8 in this area.Ice is better on top the snow, but its still not fun breaking that all up.The first snow last weekend was great nice and fluffy with no wind at all.The second one this past week was a nightmare, not that much accumulation but the strong winds left a 3 ft drift in my driveway to clear out,I was sweating in minus degree weather trying to get that thing out of there.I at least hope the winds are calm come shovel time

Probably get windy after it passes. Some usually do. Take a Bayer aspirin and thin your blood with a few swigs of that real Kentucky 190, or drink a couple of beers about an hour before ya go out to shovel. Keep ya from having a heart attack. Also take a few breaks while doing it. Can be dangerous on the ole ticker. Drop right over unexpectedly. WC has us at 1 inch by sun up, and 5 to 8 during the day. But still saying the track could be more and less. We will see. By the looks of the radar it's a monster, so we are going to get something. Long lasting mother too. But I'll take it over the 95° shi+ with 100% humidity in the shade, with a 110° heat index.

just came in from looking at snow gauge and it is at 2.5... looks like the storm is edging more to the south.

Look like another storm out in the Arizona area might head this way

Pretty deep, deepest yet this year. Didn't measure, but it was just above my 6" boots. Pretty heavy to shovel because I waited for the second wave to get out of here. Worth it though, only shoveled once but it was nasty work. Little rain but not much, but as I figured the cold air had the grip and a long lasting snow. Noreply, I heard them talking about another disturbance down south coming to us later. I hope not. Be pure heart failure for me. I'm not as mobile for heavy shoveling anymore. :122249 :( :(

A lot of that must have melted by the time I rolled out when Eddie Trunk was blasting away.I barely got 4 inches on my tape measure. And I was right it was one he11 of a sweaty hard mess to shovel up,ice and slush all the way to the ground.I got so hot out there in that warm air I was shoveling in my tee shirt before the night was done,my coat was soaked :122247 Might as well been shoveling up cement blocks

Yeah, it did feel kinda warm out there but the cold air above had most of the grip on the precip. Be glad you got it done because this weeks cold air would have had your drive pure ice packing it down. You got that right, it was heavy shi+ and I messed my back up. I was just about done and doing out back in the drive, and a burning/shocking sensation went up the right side of my back. I've been down ever since and it's worse today. Can't hardly move.
