It sure hit the roof yesterday. Oil closed at 89.47 up 2.01 a barrel and wholesale gasoline closed at 2.1851 up 0.0385 a gallon. This is not looking too good for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.

its still 2.89 here as of last night.. heard the barrel went over ninety to settle down to 89 gosh poor little oilmen lost a dollar a barrel yesterday I feel so bad for them.

I think the high octane was 1.25 win he took over. I could fill my little Aspire up for 8 or 9 dollars back then.

I looked at the topic of this thread and I think it should be Gas Prices are still high and rising Oil closed yesterday at 93.49 a barrel and gasoline closed at 2.257 a gallon wholesale. 3.09 retail just about anywhere you go.

Yesterday on the news they said this has(the high price a barrel) had nothing to do with supply and demand.

Oil closed at 95.93 up 2.44 a barrel and gasoline at 2.340 up 0.0829 a gallon. Retail is still 3.09 in Ironton although I did see a 3.19 in Portsmouth last night.

Oil and wholesale gasoline closed lower yesterday. Oil closed at 93.98 down 1.95 a barrel and gasoline was 2.3811 down 0.0584 a gallon. Retail was 3.05 in Jackson Sunday and 3.09 in Ironton.

Oil closed at 96.70 up 2.72 a barrel and wholesale gasoline closed at 2.435 up 0.0559 a gallon. Looks like the 100 dollar prediction is going to come true.

Oil was at 98 dollars a barrel for a while yesterday but finally closed at 96.37 down 0.33 a barrel and wholesale gasoline closed at 2.4406 up 0.0056 a gallon. The stock market blew a fuse yesterday also.

Oil again nosed down a little closing at 95.46 down 0.91 a barrel and wholesale gasoline closed at 2.4376 down 0.0030. Retail in Ironton is now 3.19 and in Ashland Ky at 3.00.

Oil did a turn around yesterday and closed up at 96.32 + 0.86 a barrel and wholesale gasoline closed at 2.456 up 0.0184 a gallon. Looks like 4 bucks a gallon by Christmas and 100 dollars a barrel next week.

With rumors OPEC will increase production, oil fell to 94.62 down 1.70 a barrel and wholesale gasoline came in at 2.4165 down 0.0395 a gallon. Retail in Ironton is still 3.19 and 3.00 in Ashland Ky.

Ray.

Of course there is going to be a delay. They are really going to hurt us between now and Christmas.

It is kind of like summer where gas prices spike and hotels along the interstate can charge $150 for a standard room. They know that people will be traveling anyway. Thus they resort to highway robery. You could get the same hotel room in February for 75 bucks.

They know that around Thanksgiving and Christmas people are going to be traveling. Not just for the holidays themselves. More people will go see movies, go to ballgames, go Christmas shopping. go to resturants.

I dont totally buy the supply and demand thing.
