Yeah, they all have that one of a kind drunken smell with smoke mixed in there. The Old shamrock had it too when I would go in for a beer after a Logan football game. How old was ya when you took papers into those places?noreply66 wrote:helped a buddy with his paper route and would take the LDN in about every bar in Logan that was on Main St......they all had that certain smell.

What was the name of that bar that used to be down by Tansky's ? The name slips my mind but if I heard it I would know it.It probably closed in the early 90's sometime.Me and my buddy used to get out of school still underage go in there get a picture of beer and shoot pool.Ole Katie would never turn us down We would even go in with our letterman jackets and still get served. That wouldn't happen todaynoreply66 wrote:helped a buddy with his paper route and would take the LDN in about every bar in Logan that was on Main St......they all had that certain smell.

I don't know the name of the bar across from Tansky's.
I just remember the bar Tally-Ho in town.
I loved the Hide-Away. Remember one night when Big Daddy Stewart was drunk and pulled the whole bar over.

Seems like the bar across from Tansky's had an inn name attached to it.Wasn't the Wooden Shoe up by Spring St. somewhere in the area of the Utopia.Big D will know where it was at,I will ask him next time I see him,he might even know the name of that other bar.
