Re: RV Band?
Some past history - Change of directors three seasons ago. Pep band at games for the first season at home games. Second season marched all home game halftimes with 25 band members. This season they have already attended two away games plus their halftime shows with 40 members. The group marches grades 6 through 12. We in the process of fundraising for new uniforms. The music for the first show was I WANT IT ALL, AIN'T BEEN GOOD, and EYE OF THE TIGER. The music for their second show will be HANG ON SLOOPY, BAD DAY, and CRAZY TRAIN.

That's great to hear I remember the last time we went to RV in 06 they only had the pepband. Lucasville Valley only had a band of 13 marching members and 6 guards at their game Friday. It takes gut sto get out there and play with such a small group!

Re: RV Band?
Keep up the good work, it makes me happy to see progress being made.
I was a part of the RV band when we single handedly had more trophies in the trophy case than every Varsity sport combined.
Work hard and stay proud, it will pay off.
I'm proud of you all.

Re: RV Band?
I too am very proud of the River Valley band!
I was a member of the RV band the same time seofan_via_dublin was.
I still think we need to get a alumni band association going dubs!?!?!

Re: RV Band?
Im glad to see River Valley is getting bigger. But they certianly arnt getting better. The drummers wear stupid buckets and face masks. Trust me you are only hurting the rep. of the band. The band has around 60 people but still cant be heard in the first row of bleachers. Speaking of the band why dont you guys move. I promise if you can kinda sorta barely play an instrument stand still you can play one moving.

Re: RV Band?
Anonymous, you've made 5 posts, all in the band forum, and the only thing you've have good to say is
about South Point.
If you don't have anything good to say, then keep it to yourself.
You have no bearing, or relvance to the RVHS band, and I'm sure they wouldn't
pee on you if your head were on fire.

Well Mr. Dumbass_seofan_via_dublin
Who cares how many posts I've made
and what forum its in. But I know a good band when I see one and I know a horrible one. And I wouldnt want any of those desease bearing inbred waste of lifes in that band to pee on my face because I fear I would catch something horrible. But fear not sir I do wish you the best of luck with that sorry excuse of a band.

Re: RV Band?
Please do not think that this idiot who sounds like he is from SP is the norm for a Pointer. I think your band is improving from what I saw year before last. Believe me when I say SP was AWFUL two years ago. It can get better just keep trying and have dedicated kids, parents, and director and it will happen! Good Luck!

Re: RV Band?
I grew up going to band competions and following the Rock Hill Marching band
during the late 80s and early 90s under David Bare.
I've played trombone for 19 years, and was in the RV band when we had more trophies
in the case than every varsity sport combined.
I respect highly bands that compete on a weekly basis, and I applaud the dedicated
students who want to build up a program that once was pretty good.
They deserve the best, and with work can get it. I know that this idiot represents
nobody from South Point, they have more class than whoever that clown is.
Congrats again to every hard working member of the RV marching band, and
also congrats to those other band members whatever school they may attend that
work hard to not only entertain Friday nights, but compete on Saturdays.
