Can any one tell me what kind of numbers they will have this year?
Whos going to be Field comander?

Anything else I might be interested to know about the band this year would be great.

There haven't been tryouts for FC yet.

Numbers look about the same but maybe a bit smaller. The Sr. Class leaving this year was so large. They are losing some key musicians but I am sure they will be fine.

They will be picking music in 2 wks for next yrs show.

NY will be doing Lion King for it's contest show and the FC for 2009 is Taylor Sapphington.

Nelsonville York's Auxiliary was awarded 1st place at The Ohio State Invitational this past wknd in Class C. They also outscored MANY Class B & A Bands. The show is starting to gel for the entire band. I am so proud of all of you as you are all working so hard. I am really proud of the auxiliary as you have had to listen to naysayers this season that want you to twirl like it is 1980 all over again. Congrats, now let's get to work!!!

Nelsonville York is taking part in the Fort Frye Band Contest this upcoming weekend. Good Luck. Let those horns ROAR. Get it, The Lion King. Ok, I know it was lame.

They really came along this year and were sounding good towards the end of the season. With a little more hard work and a couple of more years they could pass up Athens as the best band in the County!!!!!!!!

let's not get ahead of ourselves. Lol. Athens is a great band and will be great for quite some time. But NY certainly has a lot of potential with some very talented players coming up through.

yes i agree totally.......................................

Numbers are down but not much. The players they do have are good players, guard looks great. With some hard work, I'd say State isn't out of the question.

Glad to hear! They need 1 more good year and numbers will start comming up and staying up.
