230 confirmed cases reported by state health department in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. No reported deaths in the county with a population 300,000. The state extrapolates 1,500 cases to be in the county, but given the lack of testing and rumored inaccuracies of the available test, any number reported is a guestimate. Even local hospital that has laid off 1,000 employees, has had only 20 patients with presumptive, but not confirmed Covid19. Our area has been blessed by not being hit hard with the disease.

As to SC's supposed lockdown as of 4/13, it seems like everyday more and more people are taking it less seriously every day that passes.

My family is well, but I am struggling trying to homeschool the grandson. Being from the Dick and Jane generation, common core subject matter makes little sense.

Hope everyone is hanging in there. In the Columbus area, the grocery stores are starting to settle down. My wife even found hand sanitizer a few days ago for the first time since the panic-buying started.

Sadly, we lost a member of the Yappi forum (and a long-time JJHuddle) to coronavirus. Bevo was in Wyandot County, in his late 60's, passed away on April 8.

I do feel for those with school-age children. Ours are grown and on their own, but my wife is a school secretary, and is keeping busy tracking students who haven't logged in to the online courses yet.

As always....these numbers come from Fl Dept. of Health. County health agencies relay all info daily to Tallahassee.
