The Celtics are led by rookie Tom Heinsohn (37 points,23 rebounds) and Bill Russell (19 and 32). The Hawk's Bob Pettit shines with 39 points and 19 rebounds, but he misses a layup that would have sent the game into a third OT.

The radio call by gravel-voiced Celtis anouncer Johnny Most becomes the most memorable in hoops history.
