China has replaced North Korea as one of the top three U.S. enemies in the publis's mind. Iran stayed atop the "enemies list," with 25% of Americans saying it posed the greatest threat.

The price of gas has become "a serious problem" for 44% of American. that puts it far ahead of the second-place economic concern of gettin a good-paying job or raise (29%) and the third place concern of paying for health insurance (28%).

Americans are skeptical of the motives of candidates who have called for a temporary gas tax moratorium, with 70% saying politicians support the measure "to help themselves politically," not "to help average Americans."

America is about evenly split on the merits of a gas tax holiday, with 49% saying it's a bad idea and 45% saying it's a good idea.
