Who is your underdog that can get it done?

D4 feels like the place for the underdog

D2....New Lexington to district finals
Sheridan to regionals

D3...Minford and Ironton

Would say Alexander/Meigs but don’t like their matchup

D4...Fairfield, beat Miller bad then get confidence and beat Fed Hock

Hard to call Peebles and underdog

Western Pike could be ornery

NOTE: these are not my picks to happen

I like Lucasville Valley in D4 as the tourney underdog ... a year away from being really good, but a shot at getting to the Regional Semi's THIS year ...

I would expect these schools to perform better than their seeding. Portsmouth West in D3 and Sheridan in D2 .

The team I feel being overlooked despite their prowess is Wheelersburg. They are capable of a deep tournament run but are generating little buzz.

D2 has the potential for a whole bunch of upsets ... no cinderellas but upset potential games for sure ...

Miami Trace @ Logan Elm ... out of ALL of the teams that could have gotten the draw vs Logan Elm MT posses a BIG matchup problem for the Braves ... Size, size and more size for MT vs LE's biggest down side - their lack of any size and any position ... will be interesting to see if the Braves can push the ball , get out in transition enough to keep MT from making this a half court game in which MT has a BIG advantage ... interesting thinking that IF MT can get a BIG upset vs LE it would set up a rematch with Unioto (one of the 2 blemishes on the Shermans' resume' on the season with the other last weeks loss at Westfall) ...

Warren vs New Lex ... another possible upset ... New Lex upset Sheridan last season in sectional play ... NL at 13-6/playing in the MVL has the pedigree to do it again vs a Warren team that HAS struggled scoring from the perimeter ... on paper Warren gets the W here BUT NL believes it can beat the Warriors ...

Jackson vs Vinton County ... Coach Combs has shown himself to "coach" up his underdog Vikings in sectional play the last couple of years ... VC with an outside (shooting) chance of knocking off the Ironmen in round one of sectional play ...

I really like Portsmouth West to make some noise in DIII I think with as hard as they play they should not be taken lightly by anyone. Minford is quick and plays hard but sometimes their offense is streaky, but when Minford is hot, especially from 3 land, they can bury a team quick. DIV Whiteoak has faced some tough teams and while they have lost a few they have won all they should have, plus they play DIV come tournament, so there is a chance. Valley is talented and has shown flashes but also crashes,. However if Valley plays hard and disciplined they have a shot to be there at the final of the district. I can't see their coach leaving after 1 year, especially to coach elsewhere, Norm has been around enough to know what he was signing up for in accepting the Valley job especially with all the young players. Valley seems to be the youngest squad in Southeast Ohio, things will pick up for them.

I've heard this for about a month that he's not happy. I didn't believe it. But the person that told me a couple days ago would know if there was something to it. He says there's something there. I don't know

But Norm went there to win. Specifically with a talented team playing in D4. He left OH because they weren't going anywhere in D3. But Norms style is very controlling. It is different than those players have ever played, and in today's world of run in gun basketball it's different
